The question that continues to come up however in the slacklining community is the validity of these claims about slacklining damaging trees. The extensive searching that we've done (online and with arborists) suggests that there has never been a substantiated case of damage.
I'm sure that as enlightened, or aware yogis you'd be concerned about the world around you. I'm aghast that you're not using tree protection on that slackline. Wrap a towel, cushion foam, or anything soft around the trunk before tightening that line.
