Can a Christian be demon possessed? Oppressed yes. But demon possession, NO! If God's spirit indwells a regenerated believer in Christ that is not backslidden in heart then it is IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO BE POSSESSED or not in control of themselves. No where in the new covenant will you find a christian having 'the sin of an evil spirit' being cast out. When this stuff happened to my wife, she could not remember anything. God has called us to be sober and alert and not drunk.

If God keeps you from drunkeness then he is in control and you are in control of your choice will through the power of his spirit that is predicated on the basis of His Word. If you get drunk then you are not in control of yourself and the holy spirit is not in control. God through his Word keeps one form sinning.
I suppose poverty should be taught more, and there is no joy in the Lord, BUT wait, the bible says there is FULLNESS of joy in Christ. I'd say it is just a recognition of the power of "God" or the one within all of us. That it is an act that proves we are all connected, albeit we have lost much of that knowledge of connectivity through the urgency to live the "American Dream" whatever that may be.
