There is great irony that in a video of bald eagles, which are supposed to be the american symbol of freedom and strength, youtube is advertising homeland security degrees to me :/
Fantastic footage! I get excited when I spot 2 bald eagles here in KS! We live near a river so we have the pleasure of seeing them during the winter months. Thank you for sharing. =)
@TrueCarCrazy --I think the eagles you are seeing are juvenile bald eagles, not golden eagles. I thought the same the first time I saw juveniles and mature bald eagles together here is KS. =)
@TrueCarCrazy --I think the eagles you are seeing are juvenile bald eagles, not golden eagles. I thought the same the first time I saw juveniles and mature bald eagles together here is KS. =)
these are canadian eagles! No american bald eagle would take scraps from human children. They would rather die of starvaton. Or if need be swoop down and carry one of the 45 pound children away... go America who rah!!!
filthy f----ing scavengers. nothing noble. fairly decent hunters when the pangs in the belly get strong enough to inspire one (an eagle) to go do something. but mostly, big bullying theiving oportunistic filthy scavengers. A great Freudian slip of a national mascot, don't ya think?
@mdossantos047 and that is relevant to the discussion? Yes, they are birds. Oversized pestulant birds. Oh...oh, wait. I see what you are saying. You see, when I said they were scavengers,I didn't realize they were birds, and, of course, no species of avian scrouge. Geez, sorry. I forgot that one. Jackass.
@wanderer1031 If you saw the original comment that I responded to, you would see that he was describing eagles as if they were trying to run for president or something. Obviously, responding to my comment, which was basically making fun of the dude for taking it so seriously, was shaping up his argument. Perhaps you shouldn't speak where your input is not needed, hm?
@mdossantos047 If you saw more of the original comment, then you would have noticed that I wrote it. Whoa man! That'll blow yer mind around! And there isn't much arguement, eagles are scavengers. I guess one might argue the whole noble or not side of it, or perhaps maybe discuss the crude comparison to the American Patriot. But...not me, not with you. Forgive the pun, but you are a bit of a bird brain. Here, wannna free fish?...
you are ok these are just bald eagles but can you use your haed a bit more DADDY? because if you start getting golden eagles things can get dangerous so just use your fucking head a little for god sakes wild animals are not that harmless.
Nice parent skills Dipshit! Those are Birds of Prey! Little girl would look great with Talon Scars on her face, but since they go for the face she won't see it she will be blind. Your Base Commander should have your Ass!
@v2iper Do you see them in an agressive manner? Or attacking them at all? I don't know where you live, but bald eagles, even though they are an American icon, are EXTREMELYrare bird. And they are more abudant up in alaska, so feeding a bald eagle isn't neccesarily as crazy in alaska, as it is in the lower 48. Stop being such a pussy man.
@abdi1949 That may be, but I still wouldn't let my kids get that close to them. Those eagles could easily mess up one of those kids if it happened to get spooked and decide to give em a quick shot with the claws. I've seen what the claws of a Bald Eagle can do, it could kill a kid.
@v2iper This is a once in a lifetime expirience man, If my child got bit by an eagle, I'd rush him to the nearest hospital, Even if he got injured, which i would feel very disgraced about, But how many people can say the've been around 30+ bald eagles and got bit by one. Not very many people
Nice parent skills Dipshit! Those are Birds of Prey! Little girl would look great with Talon Scars on her face, but since they go for the face she won't see it she will be blind.
Alaska is AMAZING place! You are blessed to live there. I would love to visit just for the wildlife but not sure I could move when it gets cold. I tell my kids how lucky we are to live in San Diego but they only have the Ocean life Alaska has it all. Thanks for posting
The scariest thing about eagles is that you don't know what they're thinking about. They're all probably contemplating on whether to attack the humans or not...
That had to be a really awsome event to experience. i'd love to have an experience like that once. Do you think you could of hand fed them with enough salmon on hand? they seemed unafraid
Ive never seen anything like this. We rarely see a bald eagle in Indiana, and when you do, if you get even within 100 feet they take off. They act like pets, lol.
... you don't see Eagle much in our country, cuz they set traps for them and then slaughter them and sells it to the local torist restaurants making RARE GOURMET MEAL.... It is very very sad to say... that HUMANS ARE MOST DANGEROUS PREDATOR ROAMING THIS PLANET THAT WILL SCAVENGES ANYTHING TO EXTINCTION
Nice little piece of Americana you got there. Still a wild predator with talons and in a possy of thirty something. I know it's fun and all but those kids are danger close! You don't think a female would defend her young? I'm sorry bro, but when that kid ran to the left, with the sudden action, I could just see a big male swooping down...God forbid. please be careful.
Eagles are not stupid...they know where the soft-touches are. :) Not exactly legal, but out there in the Aleutians, they are the pigeons of the Islands....EVERYWHERE! :)
(Who cares about the kids-) What I want to know is, why are they all there like that? I've never heard of Eagles congregating, let alone landing in the midst of all that suburbia? What is so important to them, that they are ignoring the humans and kids so close to where they land?????
@kgirlartist66 They were feeding them. Look in discription. While personally I don't think it's a good idea (feeding potentially dangerous animals), some people do. Though I will confess, I have fed deer deer food in the dead of winter when food is hardest for them to find, so they can make it through the winter. But, I don't try to get near them. I hope these parents are more careful with their childeren in any future dealings with eagles.

@mreichert68 1: No, you aren't. Bald Eagles are a protected species, so to trap one would bring you into conflict with the Federal government and would most likely cost you a considerable amount of time in prison.
2: I have very grave doubts about your claim of being a "master falconer"
3: it's "allowed", "I'm" , "what", "that's", I'd", and throw in a few commas while you're at it.
Remember, grammar is your friend and using it properly will prove you aren't a fool.
