The zebra is by far, my favorite, and I remember that I thought on the Lion King when I used to see this and since the monkey was yellow, I thought it was the king from this ballet hehe

omgosh, I did this is 2004/2005 I was in year 9. My school was one of the first schools letting 13 year olds do an early G.C.S.E I still have the notes on this and I know pretty much everything about it! I passed my G.C.S.E dance in a year! Most of the girls who did it for 2 years didnt pass!

I saw this wonderful ballet live 1988 (I was 18!)in the Royal Opera House. It was nice to see even some smaller children loving a lot the Ballet in a place where usually you saw so older people...

This is my all time favorite ballet. I highly recommend the entire piece to anyone. It is not (yet!) out on DVD but you can find the VHS or LaserDisk used on the web.

Oh my, this ballet pretty much defined my childhood. When I was 3 or 4, it was on television and my dad recorded it for me. Now the tape is unwatchable because it's so warped and used. It still makes me cry.

I was lucky enough to get this on VHS (w/the PCO Profile video) soon before it went out of print. I had to send my first copy back to the UK because I got it in PAL (duh!  I should have thought of that before - but oh well). The folks who run the PCO online shop were kind enough to have it sent for conversion to NTSC. All I had to do was pay shipping. This is one of my most treasured possessions.
