actually , many historians are positive that if Germany had had another year to develop their newest technology, they would have won the war. Also, in my opinion, Germany was by far the most technologically advanced country in the war , and their scientist were genius , thats why at the end of the war USA actually took a lot of german scientists and started to develop new weapons and technologies !

Instead of "drittes reich" he says "we". I like the German Version of the Panzer Elite way more than the English one. The German voiceactors are really great and overall it sounds more authentic. Well, just my opinion.

The Waffen SS was Elite, but only on the first moments. From 1942 the SS recruiting not only germans, theyre recruiting from complete europe.

the 'SS' can mean lots of things.. Hitler's Leibstandarte were SS-troops (of course), the units that guarded concentration -and extermination camps were SS, the Einsatzgruppen were also SS-units... And then there was the Waffen-SS, which was really the elite, I think... In any case, the Waffen SS was to gradually replace the Wehrmacht if Germany had won the war...

I have a problem, when I install the "Opposing Fronts", it removes the ordinary "Company of Heroes" which wont allow me to play Americans or the Wehrmacht on mulitplayer/skirmish.. anyone know what to do?

just install OF, then when it is installed you just launch it, install all patches, and then when finished with that, create an account, then you should see in the main menu the "Invasion of Normandy" but it should be locked. just click it and then use your key and get it that way :) hope that helps :)

SS troops always had black and grey clothing, and the red piece of clothes with the german cross on it.

They aren't just "Personal army" of Hitler, they were the elite troops of partitional army, propaganda, and small-scaled assaults on keypoints according on small outposts of the americans/brits etc.

Sry no, I checked this up on Wikipedia, the National flag of The Third Reich was actually the same flag as of the Nazi party (aka Red, With a White ball in the middle with a swstika on it). The flag you describe, black, white and red stripes I have only seen in BattleField 1942.

it was replaced with swastika after case yellow (invasion of france) as hitler found it more befiting for the troops to bear nazi flags instead of imperial flags on their helmets and standards they were thased out in a way, but you are right '42 onwards all troops regardless of service where issued swastika flags for helmets standards ect. it was the flag of the austro-German empire and no way intwined with The nazis all m35 helmets had the imperial decal but nearly all m40's have swastika

Hey, i got COH:OP but whenever i try to play it it wants me to log in with an account. Well i made an account and know its asking me to download an update. Well i click ok but the little bar showing its downloading progress does not move. And when i click to skip the update, it brings me back to the log on thing. I CANT PLAY THE GAME. Unlike everything you've learned from (movies, games) the Germans had a large amounts of victories as well.

To be honest, if Hitler didn't attack Russia the Allies would've had to fight the WHOLE German army (not half of it) and the WHOLE Russian army. The allies had enough trouble as it was.

Like I said before, if Hitler didn't attack Russia, the Allies would've had to fight the other half of the German army AND the Russians. That'd be pretty damn hard.

Actually far more than half the Germany army was on the eastern front. Even after Normandy, the majority of German divisions were attempting to slow the Russian advance. There were more soldiers, and more casualties, on both sides on the eastern front than in every other theatre of the war combined.
