@cscptdave Yeah -- thanks a lot, Bloomberg, for ruining part of the Stones's stage persona...but they do still smoke on stage, though much less frequently.
God! Over the years, the stages The Rolling Stones have gotten bigger and more elaborate. Of course, Mick has to have it that way; He's so BIG as a personality. Nice job, by the way.
Kurt Justinius, Doug Justinius, John Lindberg and Gloria Henderson, all from Fairfield, Connecticut caught up with the Stones on the first stop on their 1981 Tour in Philly. The opening acts were George Thorogood and the Deleware Destroyers and Journey for an all day festival. I still remember the Pharmacuticals being tossed from Helecopters as "Samples".
This is one of my favorite clips of the Stones, ever. They are my favorite band of all time, and the 1981 tour was my personal favorite. I love the chorusing on the guitars...how fat Bill's bass sound is...it's heaven for me.

Keith Richards said that Mick Jagger could work a coffee table. He's correct, you just can't take your eyes off him, just like Jim Morrison or Robert Plant :)
i'll make sweet love to anyone with this song playing, even your down right fat 'n' ugly chicks i'll love you like a queen, thats right baby i mean you
@ 2:03 that is a legendary shot! Keith playing guitar while Mick is shaking his ass for the fans. Great saxophone player too! My Grandfather saw them in the late 60's, my Father saw them in the early 80's and I saw them in Nov, 2005. They do give the audience a sureal feeling and keep the vibe alive. Damn I hope the Rolling Stones live forever. Thumbs up if you agree. Has anyone else seen them live?
This song reminds me so much of my time in 11th grade (when the song was released) Heard this in concert in 1991..couldn't understand a word Jagger was saying.
I love The Stones and especially Mic Jagar! I really can't get into the music these days, I guess I'm just happy w/ the music in the past. With the internet, I can get that!
Theres just something about the lighting as the sun is going down combined with Keith's tone on the intro riff thats just magic. Chemistry like this does not appear often...
slapjaxx has every right to dislike this song. What can be objected to is that he has been so bold to utter his disgust on this site. Flaccid Robbie Williams is the only singer I really abhor. But I would never be stupid enough to visit his sites and tell the other listeners/readers that his songs "suck". On the other hand, I hoope that the songs by the Rolling Stones suck or lick. Otherwise I would listen to Robbie Williams.

The Stones should have stopped after Tattoo You like The Beatles did after Let It Be: Nowadays they're too old to play and their albums suck. In life you have to know when to stop and do something else but maybe now they're in it only for the money
@adata2 no i don't, Tattoo You is their last great album and Ronnie Wood ruined this band. Wacth the Ladies and Gentlemen DVD and you'll see that with Mick Taylor they were a better band

The Stones should have stopped after Tattoo You like The Beatles did after Let It Be: Nowadays they're too old to play and their albums suck. In life you have to know when to stop and do something else but maybe now they're in it only for the money

@sciuto01 ? after Tattoo You they wrote a lot of good songs, you don't think so?
adata2 1 year ago
@adata2 no i don't, Tattoo You is their last great album and Ronnie Wood ruined this band. Wacth the Ladies and Gentlemen DVD and you'll see that with Mick Taylor they were a better band

@adata2 i think he might have beber fever, stops liking the good music and joins the JB Crew.
