Thanks so much for this video !! My Dad was born on Turtle Mountain Reservation in 1925 and lived there until WWII. He died when I was young, so I hardly know anything about Metis. This video was great!!

I am Jay Sayers, there is a town named bresaylor,my great grandfather helped out in the naming/creating of it.other than a homemade book on my family history by my grandmother i dont know anything about the metis people

Metis descent from ND (LaFramboise/Dumont). Gabriel Dumont is my relation. Both of his biological sets of grandparents are my 6th Great-Grandparents :)

Really I'm a descendent to but the name changed. However I have first cousins that are Dumont. I think my dad kinda looks like him and I have the nose...lol...I can shoot on a dime to, but those days are far behind me. Got to get back into the culture have been to long in Canmore

That's cool....Gabriel is my great great grandfather.......My family realy inherited his his marksmanship and military stratedgy.....My Great Uncle Louis Fought in WW2 and the Korean war he was a High ranking officer.....He was in the military his whole life......My father brothers and me are excellent marksmen in hunting...hahaha I'm the best shot....I want to to go into the military cause I'm dedicated and it's in my family.....I'm proud to be his desendent
