The statute of limitations must have run out by now. So, I will also confess to participating in the band camp shower incident. Mr Bullock fought hard, but he was no match for determined seniors. I will also confess to the first rate job we did toilet papering his house later in the year. Sorry Mr Bullock that your house had to suffer in order to create my high school memories.
Wow! I was in this band. Shout out to all my fellow 79 seniors turning 50 this year. The thing that was so great about Lufkin bands was how much the crowd supported us. I marched because it was fun, but whenever we did a show... I was always blown away by how much the crowd cheered.
I was a Tuba player during this time and Mr Bullock was an outstanding Director. He knew what it took to shape us into a outstanding Band. I will never forget all those memories we had thru out all the hard times and the easy ones as well. The last thing I remember was at a band camp and we threw Mr Bullock in the shower.---- Shout Out to all former members from Bruce Thompson

Oh WoW I was a Tuba player during this time and Bullock would work you hard but it was well worth it---Shout out to all Panther band during this time from Bruce Thompson
Absolutely outstanding! No one will ever be better than Bullock! Long live the Lufkin High School Band and the memories we've all had at Abe Martin Stadium!
Go Panthers! I'm a Lufkin Band Senior this year and I play saxophone. We played Gladiators Farewell last year. I hope Mr. Bullock gets well soon. The man is a genious.
I was marching in this band on this day. It was truly an amazing performance. It was one of the memories that I will always hold dear. And yes, Mr, Bullock did work everyone very hard. There are things that he said nearly 30 years ago that I still remember and say to this day.
I was in Junior High (in the band) when the High performed this drill. I was just awestruck then and even 25+ years later I still love this drill. Band Geek for life!!!
Okay, granted, I'm getting old but I don't remember us marching with flags in 78-79, my senior year at LHS. While this is definitely classic Bullock, are we sure about the year?
As a former student of Mr. Bullock, this brings back memories. I remember watching these old films at band camp. I was lucky enough to be a student of his the last year he was at LHS. He worked our butts off and we all respected him for that. He attended my mother's funeral and I felt so honored to have him there. The man is an absolute genius.

The fanfare they play to start the 2nd half of the drill is called "Espana" but the music after that I am not sure of.

I love watching your videos. Do you know what the name of the last song is? I remember playing it but I don't recall the name.
