players like sean o brien johnny sexton andcian healy are the next breed of rugby players give all of them 3 more years and they will reach their full potential
@irishmonster100 Mate I love Irish Rugby and it makes me more Proud to say that I am at least 10 percent Irish because of my great grandmother and 90 percent Kiwi and if the Opportunity of playing for Ireland came my way I'd take it for the Glory just to prove that one Day there will come a time for when the Irish will Rise and Win the Rugby World Cup.
@rob2dabrown You don't think that O'Connol, O'Callaghan, Heaslip, Sexton, D'Arcy, O'Driscoll, Earls, Bowe and Kearney are world class players? What's wrong with you?
@AlexIsTheGrunge A lot of those players are out of form, albeit still at something of an international level. I think what rob2dabrown is trying to say is that only those 3 would push for a world team if it were declared tomorrow. I would agree to a certain extent, dispite the fact some Irish players are in fantastic form. Best, Trimble, Bowe (always) and the 3 mentioned are examples, not all would be considered 'best' in their positions on a world scale. Certainly not some of those you mention.
@rob2dabrown i think we have a few more than that... pretty much every leinster back is world class. and we have some other great forwards too, like o'connell, heaslip, ross, best and so on.
Without a shadow of a doubt. the worlds best loose head prop, his runs power and technique is EXPLOSIVE, he has come on so much in the scrum his power is just emense, In my opinion has totally revolutionised the NO 1 position it's like having an additional flanker on the team.
Showed so much maturiry against australia he owned that pack that day and the best is still to come for him!
im sure it was only a few weeks ago ppl were saying how bad he was at scrumming, iv never seen him play before saturday but against australia and he was the man:/
What a monster.. After his outstanding performance on Saturday night against the Aussies, he's my new favourite Irish player. His individual efforts especially in the scrum were some of the best I have seen from a loosehead in quite a while, thoroughly deserved man of the match. Good on ya Cian, keep up the bloody good work!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
He will never hold a reputation as good as Os Du Randt's, Woodcocks, Gurthrö Steenkamp's, or CJ van der Linde. Tendai Mtawarira (The Beast) would run through this potato head if they ever face SA in the coming weeks.
@TheAviator789 Can you not just appreciate the player, the tribute wasnt made just so people could say who's better than him it was made to appreciate him
@TheAviator789 Healy's the best loose front row forward in the world currently. What acheivements have you got in terms of rugby. I respect the rugby greats you named, so I wont insult them, I'll merely point out that Healy's a better loose forward than you are, or probably ever will be.
@dadubs93 His is in his arse the "Best Prop in the world" he's not even the best in the country. He's one of the clumsiest thats for sure ill give you that. And I'm an out-half I wouldn't compare my rugby skills to some big bulk of brainless meat lump of shite.
@TheAviator789 Best loose front row I said. Either you cant read, or you know little about rugby and its terms. Im starting to suspect its the latter.
@dadubs93 Your what 18 years old? Im 25 and Ive been playing rugby since I was 10 for Clontarf RFC. i.e. the club that plunker Healy came from. And trust me he's actually retarded. He wouldn't do anything else with his life if he wasn't playing internationally. I think I have more experience than you, what club do you even play for ? or if you even play Rugby at all....
@TheAviator789 Nope I dont play rugby on the big stage, and I dont talk crap about players and question their skills. IMO if your on the big stage you're there for a reason. Whats your name? I'll look for you in the Celtic league... Im not insulting you personally, or that it meant to go that way, its just it irritates me when people gripe about inter players. I dont know what Healys like personally, dont care too much to be honest. He puts in a good shift internationally.
@TheAviator789 Wow, did I read this correctly? "He wouldn't do anything else with his life if he wasn't playing internationally." Stop being so obnoxious, I suspect you're just jealous. He's a year younger than you played in the same club too, and is rapidly becoming one of the best loose-heads around. Powerful running game, scrummaging is getting solid, good in defence, and good endurance over 80 minutes, and still only 24....
Something is missing in this vid...All the times he went back or finished nose in the grass during scrums...A good, powerfull ball carrier for sure, a terrible scrummager as well, not so perfect for a prop...
@Crixus24 Daan human can be quoted after the leinster toulouse game as saying : "Listen, that’s not the same player anymore.’ I couldn’t believe that he’s only 23; I can’t believe it." in reference to Healy's progress at scrum time. Watch him during the cup, he's quickly becoming one of ireland's most important players. Not a beast in the scrum, but well able to cope.
i played against when he was on the belvedere u16s. he was a beast back then, not much smaller than he is now. he fucking destroyed us, you could tell he was gonna make it as a professional.
He's so powerful it's ridiculous, the difference between leinster in the final against saints compared to all other of the saints games was that mujati wasn't destroying this guy and then when mercey came on and did Cian was able to come back from being beaten to beating mujati comfortably. Respect to the man, he's a beast.
Is it a bird, is it a eing no it's Healo. What a beast. By the way he has improved immensely as a scrummager an Matawaria scrummages illegaly. Tonga'uiha, Domingo and Jenkins are the top three Looseheads in the world but Healy is closing in.
@like2surf unfortunately, as a prop, the scrum is still the most important factor. Also have you not heard of Tonga'huia, Domingo, The Beast/Mtiwara*(spelling)(either side) who all run like animals.
Apparently the man in the Irish side the ABs fear the most, cant pay a guy a much higher compliment than that, although the ABs havent been introduced to O'Brien yet.
The amount of tries he scores for a prop is unbelieveable !!
