  • It's not a Cyndi Lauper song. I think Prince wrote it.

  • Oh come on everyone. This duo are damn talented and who cares what colour anyone is today. We are all people, born the same way, live the same way and die the same way. Just appreciate what beautiful things there are in your life, like the beautiful music these people make. They make our lives more enriched and should be praised for their talent. I think they are fantastic. Congratulations Tuck and Patti ! I wish I had heard you before now.

  • Patti is the mother of a race of fantastic vocalists :-) And Tuck may be the father of a race of guitar geniuses. And they together are the parents of fantastic music. How about that and kick all the rest about races?

  • Scientifically, race does not exist. In biology it has long been recognized that the variations between individuals are greater than the differences between groups. That said, Tuck & Patti may be evolving into a new, musically advanced branch of the human race.

  • @MrDogrose if race doesn't exist, how can the skeletal remains of a human be assigned a race? So often I have heard that the remains have been identified as those of a black male or other sex and races there must be scientific differences.

  • R.I.P Mr.TakuSakashita

  • Love this version!!!!!

    Jman

  • so damn beautiful, thank you tuck & patti for even living. ;)

  • L O V to the E

  • Time After Timeの中では一番好きですわ!

  • My favorite version.

  • WTF! this isn't about white, black, yellow or brown etc...this is music! May i remind all the racist out there that we all share the same air, water and earth...meaning all of God's gifts to us.. including music. So stop the pathetic comments and enjoy HIS gifts. We all live in the same planet. Learn to live and accept. Have a life!

  • Tuck an Patty! I'd forgotten about them.

Love the dancers in a quick flash here.

  • Maybe my favorite Tuck and Patti song! Love them.

  • 一番最高に静寂を感じる曲。ギターとボーカールの奏でる最良の空間。誰もが認めるtuck&patti。最愛の恋人と共有する曲。何者替えがたい贅沢な空間。くかーんならではの空間。

  • Saskia Nijhofff dónde estás, amiga mía ?

  • What is there to say when amazing talent allows you to glimpse into their world!!! Touching the soul.... the soul....touching something....the middle of one's something...

  • amazing~!!!

  • This has got to be the best accoustic version of cyndi's song. No unnecessary additions that usually ruins the song. They took it the way it should be sang, with great emotions.

  • and p.s I agree With INEMCIK Music Has no Color But Has A Good and Smooth Sound

  • This is Southern Pride Music Pour white's Have Fought And died Side by side With pour Black's We have both Survive The harsh South And should be Proud of all southern Muisc And where we come from my famliy Has been in the South Since the 1700's And longer allways Been good to people that was good to them Dont give a dam If you Are yellow As long as you Show me respect I will show you Respect that Dam simple

  • @missrubz1 Well said missrubz1, well said. I appauld you. This is a loving and beautiful song. People should be able to see that and just sit back and enjoy their artistry and talents. Why can't they just enjoy the pleasures of music these two wonderful artist have given the world. Let us continue to enjoy. Thanks for the post jengaro19.

  • @missrubz1 I'm not American, you dumb nigger. It's funny how close minded you Americans are. You think that everyone on YouTube is American. Laughing out loud! Take a grammar lesson.

  • @JohnKreeseCobraKai84 ok and your point is? this is on american soil if it aint pertaining to you then close yaself off from this discussion . Ignorant ass hahah its funny how you say nigger and your assuming im black. DUmb ass ya moma should have swallowed you ;p now before i lower myself any further bye bitch

  • @missrubz1 Take a grammar lesson, you dumb nigger. Laughing out loud!

  • @JohnKreeseCobraKai84 lolol you hype and u wont be able not to respond. so much ballls over a computer. or maybe not enough lmaoo but i waiting for your next comment .... do as "master" say and leave one

  • @missrubz1 Nigger what? Go back to Africa. Laughing out loud!

  • i've had this cd for 10 or more years but never saw this video till today, as a southern Black man , the images in the video have given me a greater appreciation of a great song !

  • What guitar does tuck play?

  • @asdfcrow I usually associate him with a Gibson Brydland, in this video I think he is playing a Gisbon L-5 CES. I could be wrong.

  • I think most better cover in the world.

  • don19arroyo sucks big dong

  • @Destavoult How ignorant of you. The world is not as you want to see it . Color is not involved in everthing. This muisc is great. Music has no color

  • very Very good! the guitar is good and WOW is she great or what?

  • my favorite version of Time after Time

    great xD

  • perfect

  • This is one of the best versions i've heard of this song ! Does anyone have the song.....Dance with me by Tuck & Patti ? I love that song and can't find it anywhere !!!

  • Amazing and sentimental voice. I realy enjoy it

  • you should also hear the version by the canadese jazz singer Chantal Chamberland, it's also very nice!

  • This is probably my favorite version of Time after Time...Patti has such a soulful voice and original delivery, the guitar backs her perfectly...beautiful.

Love T&P since 1987 when I heard them for the first time in NYC and was blown away. Thanks for the upload!

  • This is a great duo, period. Her voice is amazing and he plays like no other.

  • As good as it gets.

  • Great =) lola

  • @TheRealMichaelBaer haha tama! galing ni tuck

  • I can't believe this beautiful arrangement is becoming about race just shameful...

  • @MoLoudon I could not agree with you more.

  • Most amazing version of this song, U 2 are great. Keep up the good work :)

  • the good is good and don´t have colour please...

  • GREAT SONG... WONDERFUL VOICE.

  • This song moves me.

  • @Destavoult UM. How often do we hear Black's singing Caucasian's songs? Normally it is vise versa....

  • @Ariegiggles just because you're probably black and got offended by Destavoult's comment doesn't mean you get to make a false, sweeping generalization about white people. And no, it's not usually vice versa. Keyword "vice", learn to spell..

  • @mothersmilkecs499 I am as white as the day is long. Stevie Wonder could see that more Black songs are re-sung by Caucasians than Caucasian songs being re-sung by Blacks. Any fool can see that. I love all music but that right there is the TRUTH.

  • @Destavoult Wow you sound really ignorant,

  • @gycurtischicago Really, really ignorant.

  • @Destavoult White people's songs? WTH? Like "Hound Dog" by Elvis? Oh wait, that wasn't his song...it was written by two Jewish boys, recorded originally by a Black woman -Big Mama Thonton in '52. My hope is that you are about 12 or 13 yrs old and you will have the opportunity to grow up, become educated and be as embarrassed about the comments you've made here as I am for you as I read them. Songs can have no racial designation. Music is not Black or White..it is universal. Enjoy.

  • @inemcik It seems like songs do have a racial designation as far as you're concerned since you just spent so much time invalidating your own theory.

  • @inemcik Jews are white. I think the only one who needs to become educated is you. Music is color blind but you're attempt to insinuate that white people steal music is pathetic. You're doing what the millions of other afrocentrists do on youtube- take one example and stereotype all white people as being rapers, murderers, or thieves.

  • @inemcik You are one like away from 50!

  • @Destavoult and this is their own opinion on how they wanted to singing this song, get it?

  • @Destavoult I think you need a brain transplant, because the one you have is dead. You should see a doctor as soon as possible. It's very clear that you do not have the brain capacity to make sensible or reasonable comments. And yes, that comment you wrote was your opinion and everybody is entitled to their opinions. You need to grow up and broaden your horizons. Maybe one day you'll realize how narrow your scope of thinking is. But who knows, maybe not..

  • ceux qui n'aiment pas ça ont de la merde dans les oreilles...

  • I don''t agree with merc6215 at all! It is in no way "butchering" as it is said! I view it not as a cover but an entirely fresh setting of a nice Cyndi Lauper song. It has SOUL! Bravo Tuck & Patti!

  • Remakes of song's should never be allowed. The song's almost always get butchered, just like this one.

  • Actually I'm Muslim but lareeseknife seriously you must be a really smart monkey. Thanks for setting my clearly sarcastic comments straight. ooooo oooooo ahhhh ahhhh. Monkey hungry? Wanna Bananna? Oooops here I go again......

  • Just Beautiful!

  • real classic.. got tabs? please.. :-)

  • Typical black ripping off a white song.....Been happing since the beginning of music...Since blacks ripped off rap from The Beastie Boys

  • @bastiglione I am going to go easy on your ignorant ass here. "Typical black ripping off a white song." Hmm. So what your really saying is a "black" person should only cover a "black" song. That would be pretty pigeon-holed considering the "non-black" songbook is easily around 95 percent of all "transcribed" music. It is sad that in your sick world, Patti could not sing a nice song like "Time After Time" or maybe "Sweet Home Alabama!"

  • @lareeseknife To continue: In your world she should keep to singing "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" and "Baby's Got Back!" Well listen here you piece of bloody SHYTE. Get your racist head out your ass and join the human race. I thing I hate to remind you of is that we all eveolved from apes!! I know this is probably scary for you. This is because from your narrow minded attitude I can only conclude you are a christian. GROW UP!

  • @lareeseknife These comments are directed to "bastiglione"

  • @bastiglione were you looking for attention? or you did that on purpose? you must be sad huh? try not being racist... that big hate is making you miserable. wish you could think first before you blabber. ..!...

  • I have some mp3, that's is the live version, and i Think that is better than this, I think in the live they play the song more slowly...

  • What a voice

  • wow amazing... love her voice...

  • this looks like Louisiana or Mississippi,or maybe Florida? Oh yes, that is St. Louis no. 1 cemetary at the end! Great video, voice and music.

It made me think of New Orleans, pre and post Katrina. The love that people have for that city, the bleakness of life there at times, and the recovery. Wow.

  • really love their version sooooooooo goooood to listen, the best version

  • my first time hearing this version. I simply love it. Thank you for the post.

  • so powerful...so soulful. all the right notes.

  • So great vocal and guitar !!!

  • Wonderfu!. Going to upload this to my pet loss site it is amazing. If any of you have lost a beloved pet my e book might help you - visit fiennesd

  • Pattiの深い愛を感じ、暖かくもなり、胸が熱くなりました。

  • Way to much reverb on her vocals! What year was this recorded?

  • @PoutinePete This was in the late 80's or early 90's, For some reason they seemed to love swallowing up contralto voices with reverb back then.

  • POUR CHRIS..........

  • I also like you with the simpler hair-style ... ;-) Wolf

  • I ♥ ♪!! XDXD

  • ♥

  • thankyou for posting this..absolutely love this rendition, tuck and patti are untouchable!!!!!

  • A very love history of two great musicians , congratulations for them , and have a very long life for enjoy this . martin

  • Best vrsion of an all time classic! Divine vocals and guitar playing!

  • this song is soo good

i have heard three versions of it that i love

there is some intrinsic property of a song like this that transcends the rendition. just my opinion

  • I'm with ya. A composition prof once said great music sounds like it's "discovered" rather than written. That's how I feel about this. Still searching for a particular Miles version I want to use as a basis to arrange it myself.

  • volim te Teodora!!!

  • I LOV IT TJ DAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wonderful warm voice!

    Sonia

  • this song always makes me cry...especially this version

  • way to go chuck and patti

  • Me encanta esata version, aqui en Costa Rica la tocaba una emisora que se llamaba radio azul, ahi la conoci.buenasa compa.

  • Would be curious to know when Tracy Chapman first covered Time After Time... my parents sang Tuck and Patti's version at my wedding 12 yrs ago, and had been performing it for quite a few years prior to that... Maybe, Tracy's version is similar to Tuck & Patti's version!

  • just love this version..

  • Don't you think this version is very similar to Tracy Chapman's??

  • Tuck and Patti simply never get old. Never. They could sing and play the obits, and it'd be thrilling. Patty Cathcart's voice is so soothing and versatile, and Tuck Andress' guitar is a whole orchestra.

  • Un plaisir renouvellé à chaque fois, à toutes les fois ...

  • Wicked Voice!!!!!

  • GEEE

  • Leaves me speechless! Notice the love in their eyes throughout, but mainly from 3:07 thru 3:16. Beautiful couple with a voice and music that soothes the soul. Thank you Tuck n Patti!

  • amazing, brilliant, incredible, simple, so beauty

  • *-*

  • tuck is fuckin amazing

  • Yes, Not a soul did this even close to Eva Cassidy's version....wow! after her the damn song should be retired

  • CAN ANYONE POSSIBLY HELP ME! There's a version of this song that was played on the radio recently that was piano, same vocal pattern except it sounded male. Very similar to this version.

  • i agree 100%. I have been searching for this since I first heard it in the 80's. I hadn't even thought of this song for 20 years and I suddenly thought - "I wonder if this obscure version I heard once in the 80's has hit the internet yet..." Yep, it has thank God. Even with one listen in the 80's this song haunted me. Damn, Prince knows how to write a song!!

  • I believe Cyndi wrote this song herself...

  • SHE IS AWESOME! I love her!!!

  • @Destavoult.. You are one hundred ten percent correct ... I don';t knwo who posted that ignorant comment but Tuck and Patti where a great duo from the 70's and that is one of ultimate classics that will always be relevent...THere is no such thing as Black or white or any other racial discription for music... Music transcends all race and ethnic barriers ...This is coming from a black man ...who loves music no matter who creates it as long as it's good .. except country...lol...j/k

  • Wonderful version of the song.

  • this is tha shit !!!!11

  • Real amazing!

  • this version rules!!!

  • i loved it

  • Not really bad? They put a great spin on it with just her vocals and his guitar. I love the way they did this song!!!

  • The BEST T&P song is LOVE WARRIORS after that there wasn't much else

  • I really think taht this version is not really bad, it is different from the other ones that we already heard... This woman really has a sweet voice! and she gives the song like a apassionated afro style...

  • geile stimme

  • Sure , Cyndi is the Best for Time After Time, agree with you ..But!! They made a great video clip, and the voice of Patti is not Bad, maybe it's not a song for them...

  • DETERIORATION? You have not yet heard what Ashley "silly-dum-dum" Tisdale did of that. I just had to digest it when I searched for non-Lauper T.A.T. versions here on YT. Once, but never again! Holy ghost!

Speaking of this here: she has a voice remotely similar to Toni Childs I think. And t least: she CAN carry a tune!

  • I once danced a modern piece to this version. Oh, I'm so blessed to have found so much beauty in the world. This song reminds me of all I've seen and all I'll have to say goodbye to some day. I love life!

  • i love this version!!

  • love all versions including the original by cyndi lauper.eva cassidy does an awesome version but for me this is the most soulfull, tucks guitar playing is awesome.

  • This is by far the best song in the world...

  • i love this song

  • A.... <3

  • i really love this song ! especially this version ! (L)

  • youve got a lot of soul!

  • loveeeee it <3

  • I love the lyrics to this song. Tuck and Patti, in my opinion do the most justice to them. I love the song, their rendition of it, and the video itself. Thanks for uploading it. I hadn't seen it in years.
