An question i bought 1 of these lazers but ik cant find the bird and the girl? am i doing something wrong? or are these effects not on all the ares II?
You can only do the animations if you use a dmx controller. I think lazershop sells a cheapish one that will do it. I use a stairville dmx master and that does the area great.
Nice video. Im looking at buying one of these and was wondering if they have good sound activation response, as I probably won't be using them for DMX.
Any chance you could maybe do a lil video of them but with Sound Activation (and maybe some dance or electro music)?

It'd be the weekend before i could manage a vid, but I will say they are a little awkward at sound to light as you have no real control over patterns, it just cycles and changes pattern to the beat, DMX is def the way to do it with lasers.
Completely in DMX, so I can lengthen effects, speed them up etc and give whatever effect i want at one time, I have a few scenes and cheses set up so i can do like "Happy Birthday" animated on the walls etc
What's it like for strength - difficult to tell from youtube sometimes as the site lightens videos and users often heavily saturate videos either to compensate or make them look better.
Also, what did you do about MPE calculations? I want to audience scan at home but potential MPE problems put me off - I don't want to burn any corneas.
Brightness is very similar to the video, no tweaking done on my part at all. As for MPE, because they are constantly scanning and have true galvos not stepper motors, there are no issues.

It's not software, it's a hardware DMX controller, do a search for "Stairville DMX Master". That's the one I use.
