Apple's not completely oblivious to what happens on the internet. Maybe they are to what happens in their own phones, but not on the internet. They must know that people can jailbreak the iPhone and are waiting for Apple to release their update. So, wouldn't Apple just keep 4.0.1 to themselves, saying they're "working on it", just so they can patch the jailbreak? Doesn't this create a standoff between Apple and the jailbreakers like the iPhone Dev Team and GeoHot? This gets us nowhere...

The DevTeam and GeoHot don't want to take the chance for Apple patching it and wasting a jailbreak on the first round of iOS 4. It would still be nice for a jailbreak.

@Skimmt Well the battery isnt dead, it may just have a dying problem--as in it dies quickly. my first ipod did this. I would send it to apple.
