My home country is Ireland, and as you can see, they didn't do the same "shit", they played the sport like its meant to be, france cheated, plain and simple, and were rewarded for it. This not only questions france's position as a "real" contender (due to them having to cheat to get through) but also their characters as sportsmen. To cheat at this level and this event, is shocking to say the least, and to be rewarded for it, is even worse!
