The campaign isn't bad. What's bad is that the people running it had no plan for how to follow up, and give churches the tools to WELCOME new people. I went to an Emerging Spirit "resource event," and half the time was spent patting themselves on the back about getting their ad campaign in the news all over the place. Too bad no one was ready at the congregational level for the response.
