  • I live in Palo Alto ;)

  • YOU BOTH LOOK REMARKABLY HEALTHY

  • this song should have been used in The Social Network

  • I grew up in Palo Alto. It's not what they make it out to be. It's a great place to live though.

  • Fun fact number 1:this song was never performed live

Fun fact number 2:Radiohead are fucking brilliant

  • 1:52 - 1:55 Phil enjoying his owk piece-of-art :)

  • This is so fucking awsome.... Damn. This is the best thing i've ever heard... Raw and dirty!

  • This song was originally called "OK Computer." They didn't like the song, but did like the name (hence...). I like the song though.

  • Now this is why I love Radiohead so much.

  • 1:39 love that fucking headbob.

  • are there some parts in meeting people is easy that are only in some versions of the movie or something?

  • this would have been any other band's lead single.

  • @thefekks heh yeah. only in the shadow of ok computer could this just get left behind as a bit of scrap almost! x best band in the world.x

  • such a damn shame that this isn't more well known

  • The intro sounds very similar to Queen's Now I'm Here

  • I wish they would play this live. It kicks ass.

  • Very difficult to concentrate. I don't know why this video doesn't have more views.

  • isn't this on the airbag single/EP?

  • so this is how the band "Paloalto" got their name

  • @Ljandj99

It's also a city in California. Hahaha, but maybe!

  • i like how it wasn't shot in california, let alone palo alto. japan... of all the places

  • The mark of a truly great band is when their b-sides are better than most band's singles.

Yeah this should have been on OK Computer, but it's quite difficult to place it when you know the album running order inside out!

  • Something about this song reminds me of "Within You, Without You" by George Harrison.

  • Radiohead is one of my favorite bands. This has to be on the top 8 of my most favorite songs by them.

  • Proud resident of Palo Alto

  • This should have replaced electioneering.

  • Good idea, but I'm pretty sure it was written after OKC came out

  • @ShakehandShake33

nuppo... was a b-side because it was the single for i think the 'No Suprises' single

  • It's funny that you say that. Electioneering was actually the first Radiohead song that I heard. I fell in love with it and it opened me up to the world of Radiohead. It certainly is a different song, but I think it's pretty powerful. Plus, the release of the album was during the 1998 presidential candidacy. I'm glad the album was made the way it was and I'm even more elated that this B-Side found the light of day because it is very good.

  • i disagree, because electioneering fits in with the British middle-class alienation theme of the album. where as Palo Alto is in california.

  • Yeah this could have opened on the album, just listen .....you can can hear Airbag kickin in after the 1-2 sec delay between tracks...@*%"£$^ perfect. Perfect anyways but you can add to perfect.

  • this scenery does not resemble palo alto at all

  • What, they don't have escalators?

  • good they didn't put it on OK Computer, would not have fitted very well with the actual album but on a bonus dics and on a EP it is a master song. I like it alot.

  • @Pandemonium44 I don't know if I agree with your first assertion. I think it would have fit in very comfortably between "Fitter Happier" and "Climbing up the Walls."

  • @psylcaycau I put it right after Subterranean Homesick Alien and before Exit Music (For A Film). Sounds great and makes a 13 track album which is oddly appropriate.

  • @princeoftidds Id put it between my asscheeks

  • @MelGibsonsSafari3 that's cool, everybody is into different stuff. Good luck with that.

  • @Pandemonium44 what about electioneering?

  • Radiohead were going to call this Ok computer & put it on the album aswell but they deemed it not good enough! Jokers....

  • Can someone help me find a video?

I Believe that it was radiohead.

There was a video where two bubblegum were singing under the table...please help?

  • usee yahoo answers and ask the ? andd youll get your answer in prob less than 5 mins

  • it's from Air, called "Playground Love"

  • thanks :*

  • worth listening.

    Airbag/How am i driving? --->

    :D

  • wtf is thom doing again, i dont remeber

  • Isn't there at 0:30 shown a road that's on OK Computer cover?

  • no kinda looks like it tho

  • Everyone one of those days

    When the sky's California blue

    With a beautiful bombshell

I throw myself into my work

I'm too lazy, I've been kidding myself for so long

  • thanks for sharing.. you know i love any clips of thom, even if he is just holding shopping bags ;)

  • lol.

i am not a plastic bag?

  • 1:50

    phil can't help himself

  • Great song/band/town.

  • this is my favorite song, not of just radiohead, of all time!!!!! OK COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i lived in palo alto but now i live in the netherlands but i realy want to back sometime.

  • 1:53

"You both look remarkably healthy healthy"

    WTF????

  • because palo alto is the best place on earth

    650 fo lifeee

  • lol palo alto why palo alto? i don get it

  • high stick = palo alto

  • Palo Alto serves as a central economic focal point of the Silicon Valley, and is home to more than 6,000 businesses employing more than 98,000 people. It's the home of Hewlett Packard and many other internet based companies, such as Facebook and Photobucket.

  • im lovin this song!

  • sfg gr8 trk

  • rockandrooooooll!!!

  • i live in paly alto yay

  • Palo Alto, California? I live ten minutes from there...

  • of course this song is actually amazing

but, not a good match for Ok computer album

  • Why not? I guess that's the one the album was derived from. At least its name. For me this one's like the bright side of 'Fitter Happier'

  • YOU BOTH LOOK REMARKABLY HEALTHY

  • This song is so amazing, I really think it should have been on OK Computer. Either way, I'm so glad I'm able to listen to it.

  • yeahh palo alto!

  • this is definately influenced by the beatles

not saying radiohead is just this song

  • i was born there too. what city is this in the video? It's definitely not Palo Alto.

  • I'm guessing somewhere in Japan

  • Born in Palo Alto at Stanford University Hospital.Though I never been back and have lived in Los Angeles since age 4,I am proud to be a Palo Alto native!Home of facebook,Hewlett-Packard,Standford,etc.

  • She should play this more often. It rocks

  • The end part sounds like their single from a few years back Pop is Dead.

  • Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

  • the best band!!!

  • This song reminds me of the people who invented facebook and how they moved to palo alto after the site got big. I relate to the singer. He feels he's on the edge of something Orwellian but he's so insecure he can't take astance because everything and everybody seem so nice.

  • Rather reminds me of Fitter Happier's lyrics.

  • "You both look remarkably healthy"

  • Bakublanket (2 months ago)"You both look remarkably healthy"

    perfect

  • haha excellent!

  • it belongs to the right album (EP)however it would have fit perfectly in ok computer. It leaves the same taste airbag leaves. really nice song!

  • I don't know hwo another song could have made the album bad.

  • the chorus is so sarcastic, i love it

  • I like to pretend this song opens "Ok Computer"

  • This video was aired on 1999. Directed by Grant Gee. Grant Gee directed also "Toilet Trouble" radiohead video. Hopefully, somebody will upload it on Youtube, since I want to have all the radioheadvideo youtube links, in my humble blog

  • Thom is so cute!

    I love this Vd.

  • I love this song. Where can I find it? (eps/albums/singles)?

  • It's on the Airbag/How Am I Driving? EP, as someone already mentioned.

  • I am from Palo Alto, I don't imagine it anything like this song but I suppose that doesn't make it so. I love Palo Alto.

  • "Palo Alto" should have replaced "Electioneering" on OK Computer.

"Cuttooth" and "Worrywort" should have replaced "Hunting Bears" and "Morning Bell/Amnesiac" on Amnesiac.

"I Am Citizen Insane" should have replaced "We Suck Young Blood" on Hail To The Thief.

  • pearly should have replaced electioneering

  • Why not both?

  • because ok computer was so perfectly timed!!

    12 songs was perfic

  • Oh but I like electioneering..

  • same its a good song but i just dont think its as good as the rest as the album

  • Wait.. If the album is perfectly timed, how could another song have been better? I love everything off of "Airbag/How am I Driving?", but there's a reason they got cut from the album.

  • i hate airbag/how am i driving?.. it gets me to sleep, and i love electioneering, it has an amazing guitar, something that sometimes the rest of the album lacks

  • Ah man, Pearly* and A Reminder are amazing songs! Not to mention Polyethylene (Parts 1 + 2) and Palo Alto. I'm not fussed on Melatonin, but really, for a collection of B-Sides they are pretty damn awesome.

  • Electioneering is so awesome though.

  • fantastic song. why must they have so many bsides and unrealeased materials? must have all!

  • Palo Alto was released. On the "Airbag/How Am I Driving" EP

  • 'Airbag/How Am I Driving'is Radiohead's second-greatest release, after 'Kid A'.

  • I've been listening to this song for 3 days straight. thanks for asking thanks for asking.

btw, anyone else here vague echos of the Stone's 'We Love You' ?

  • I used to live in Palo Alto CA. I hate that place

  • I'm okay, how are you? Thanks for asking thanks for asking

  • i hope you're okay tooo

    (...)

  • Palo Alto is where big tech companies HQs are: Xerox, blah blah blah. Others. They just went to one of them (Thom and co.) and, um, he wrote the song?

    Kind of? Maybe?

  • Does anybody know why they renamed this song to "Palo Alto"? All I know about Palo Alto is that it is where the Stanford is and it is outside San Fran...

  • I don't get why it is a B-side, I think the song is much better than subteranean homesick alien....this song had to be on OKC....anyway, radiohead is amazing!!!

  • Brilliant.

  • 1.Airbag

    2.Pearly Airbag -How am I driving[Limited Edition]EP

    3.Meeting in the Aisle

    4.A Reminder

    5.Polyethylene(Parts 1&2)

    6.Melatonin

7.Palo Alto (You can download in u torrent,or buy it,hehe:D)bye

  • "pearly airbag...limited edition" what is it??

  • i need to get the airbag EP. i heard this first on 'meeting people is easy' and loved it heaps. good song

  • Muito bom esse vídeo!!!

  • this song was gona b on ok computer as the title track! but it never made the final cut, they changed the name from 'ok computer' to 'palo alto' and it ended up on the 'airbag/how am i driving' EP + was a B-side. but yeah, its awesome!

  • nice job

  • I thought this video is in the "Meeting People Is Easy" DVD , is it?

  • LOVE IT! Thanks!
