@MowgliX Who exactly is confusing these characters with the real Edie Sedgwick?? Youngins who want to learn about her & haven't been exposed to enough of her work, or posers perhaps...
To clarify things further, this is *not* Edie Sedgwick. It's the actress Jennifer Rubin impersonating Edie. There are quite a few film clips and photos floating around that claim to be of Edie but obviously are not. Also, the film Factory Girl that came out in 2006 starring Sienna Miller and Guy Pearce and others was a total fabrication and had nothing to do with real events or real people.
@MowgliX If that's true then why would her (awesome) brother have cooperated with the film making and story line, and then commented in the end of the movie during the credits? Among other very credible sources. Including Gerard Malanga. You're not clarifying shit. OBVIOUSLY this is not Edie. The Doors movie was made in the early 90's.
@MsBloodRedLipstick Mind your language please. If you are referring to Factory Girl, then yes, I think it was a bad movie and a total fabrication. Lou Reed, who knew Edie, said: "It's one of the most disgusting, foul things I've seen - by any illiterate retard - in a long time." That pretty much sums it up. And I know something about The Doors movie. I was the one who uploaded this clip.
@MsBloodRedLipstick On a more positive note, it's interesting that the Edie - and please don't confuse the *real* Edie with the character played by Sienna Miller in Factory Girl - knew Jim Morrison and would see him over a drink etc at Max's Kansas City.
@MowgliX Mind my language? WOW. Sorry I offended you... Yes i was referring to Factory Girl, and yes Lou Reed did say that. You have to take into consideration everyone remembers things differently, and anytime a film is made about a real person, there are going to be angry critics. I can't imagine how hard it must be for the people who are still alive & remember these characters in a different way than they are portrayed. I think it's just rude to call Factory Girl "a total fabrication".
@MsBloodRedLipstick I wonder if you feel The Doors movie is a total fabrication as well... ANYWAYS, thank you for the upload. It was exactly what I was looking for.
You should watch I Shot Andy Warhol if you haven't yet.
@ChrissieBana I haven't seen "I Shot Andy Warhol". Would you please upload that segment...? ;) Jennifer Rubin does a good Edie, but then again it's a very short clip. I used HandBrake to grab that little bit. HandBrake is completely legal (so far) and is available for free for the Mac and Windows. Just google for it!
