  • Wow that engine has the fastest rev ive ever heard, 0-18k rev in under 1 second

  • @KreatorOfDeath1985 there's no friction right there, so it should

  • The whole car is wobbeling around

  • Yes like you said.

  • Why are all internet message boards full of keyboard warriors spouting hate? This is a cool ass video of a mean ass engine.... Isnt that enough?

  • they all go "woooohh" when its shut off.....as if the last minute or so wasnt noisy enough!

  • it sounds like a small pissed off animal

  • r8 will ALWAYS beat the crap out of a corvette c6r :), the corvette has incredibly crappy handling when on the track so go eat some shit indeed brian because american cars are going into the history books :).

  • I love high reving engines!!

  • So traviscallen how bout going back to your couch, watch formula one and sucking daddy´s cock while your at it.

  • spastic retard. you'd fucking die trying to drive an f1. i rode in a 3 seater one and got fucking tired just of the forces it makes on you.

  • v8's have more bark than bite other than the zr1 corvette and ford gt (not mustangs)

  • @312dudeman you're dumb. stop living

  • dude thats the sound of true power and precision!

  • That means you are a woman, and i don't blame you for hating it.

  • youre a stupid v8 redneck

  • sound terrible? have you even got ears on the side o ur head. thats the nicest thing ive ever heard

  • Considering the cost of a complete new engine, somehow I doubt that is what engineers would say.

  • there not made to sound good !

  • they do sound terrible

  • v8's sound terrible its like a retard burbling down the street drooling on himself so of course youd enjoy that sound over a truly precise and accurate v10

  • @traviscallen No, see. These, like Lambos and Ferraris, sound like they're on the verge of exploding. And that they need extreme revving before being able to perform. A real american V8 has lots of Torque in low revs and doesn't go into screams to get the power.

  • @traviscallen

    c6r beat the viper

    suck my dick

  • @Brian500R

    R8 beats the c6r

    eat some shit

  • @traviscallen

    /watch?v=dT_yKodZPgY

    suck it bitch

  • Ha muleke!

  • Gee, how many times do you have to pin it to the rev limiter? Ok we get it, it revs! I sure hope the engine engineers weren't right there.

  • if the engine engineers were standing there they would have thought to themselves "why isnt he even revving it?"

  • Jak pies heheh / i think this is a Dog hau hau :D

  • lol renault

  • it sounds like somebody on speed yelling VROOM!!! VROOM!! VROOM!!!! but still. amazing cars and engines.

  • U can find article about F1 pneumatic valve closing in yahoo search. They use nitrogen as springs.

  • post a link to the mechanical system you are talking about. I've never heard about pneumatic "valve closing" system. I have heard on the other hand of hydraulic adjusting valves to keep the tolerance where it should be on the fly.

  • F1 uses pneumatic valves as does motoGP now

  • i does exist i didnt know it was in use already

  • Well guitartec,

Basically racing is a big popularity contest. The more popular you get the more potential buyers there are to buy your brand of car or whatever your sponsor is selling. At this point I see that this video has been looked at 42,586 times, just to here this car rev the engine. So IMHO there is a reason to rev the hell out of this engine. Its where that old saying comes from; Win on Sunday, sell on Monday.

  • ca crache!!!!!!!!!!

  • its a racing motor its built to be able to take "harsh" revs like that

  • I understand racing engines, and harsh rev with no load isn't doing anything any good unless they're adjusting something or looking for something. Maybe they are?? Harsh revving may not be real bad either, (as you suggest), but unnecessary revving IS unnecessary if there's no purpose for it. Hope they got something out of it.

  • dude ..its a race engine...only last 2 races...now FIA confirms that it will last to a wooping 3 races....

  • Please stop trying to defend this. All I'm saying is.... unnecessary wear is UNNECESSARY, so I hope what they're doing on this video is for a diagnostic reason.

  • Maybe you should learn something about F1 engines. The thing probably isn't getting higher then 9-10k rpm. Considering it's probably got a 19k redline this isn't even a Sunday drive for it. The bad news for you, harsh revs are far easier on a car than stress under load, especially for these cars.

  • Gee, another attack? This conversation is unnecessary.

  • goose bumbs nough said that is a angry ass motor

  • sounds almost like it was electric!!!

is this Renault's new motor design using no cams / valve springs???????

  • Valve springs? Loooool man where have you been the last decades?

Is hydraulic actuated valve system for ages. Springs could never keep up with >18K rpm

  • if it doesnt use cams then how do the valves work????

  • I wont even give Clubbtraxx the respect of commenting on his last post, post a link about the hydraulic valve train. F1racer good question, they are using electronic actuated valves now. NO CAM OR SPRINGS.

  • well you are a little rude. No its not hydraulic but yes it IS pneaumatic BUT only to close the valves. Its still got a camshaft to OPEN them... now who is needing respect?

  • hydraulics/pneumatics.

thing of the future on modern racebikes

  • it does use cams. The valves are closed by pneumatic operation. It still uses a cam to open the valves...that poster doesnt know a lot about f1 engines.... sorry dude..

  • Comment removed

  • Better sound than Americans V8 Muscle Cars...

  • damn they unleashed a BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that thing sounds pissed off

  • Each each engine costs over 300 thousand USD!

  • dog sound :)))))))

  • such a fast revving engine at neutral...

  • animal, animal

  • "It's like nails on a chalkboard, except this is pleasant!"

  • è impressionante!!!!mammma mia!!!
