I was looking for this game I just didn't know it, thank goodness for "If you like this game you may also like" on some gaming website. I'd tried so many games inc Settlers 6, Age of Empires II and III, Black And White 2, Civ series, Sim City series, so many games, and this is what I was looking for,amazing resource structure, beautiful detail, I don't want to go to work anymore.

You should try The Settlers 6: Rise of an Empire. It's a very similar game as it's by the same developer. (Blue Byte) It's also very fun, the main difference is your much more involved in the development of your town than in Dawn of Discovery due to smaller map size and a more zoomed in camera so you can see all of the little details of your settlement.

This video doesn't justify the graphics, because it's way better than it looks like here, just so you know. :)

BTW i run this on max settings with a Geforce GTX275 896 MB (not hundred on the exact memory value) and a AMD Athlon 6000+, plus 4GB of ram :) but i get some slowdown when you change the view, cant remember what the alternative view is called though.

well, its a well-designed german game which takes place in 1404.. first you choose a character and search a island where u will beggining build ur town.

the point in the game is to take care of ur population, trade with other cultures.. if the population is unhappy they destroy ur town, and there are also pirates and of course war

its really cool and of course u can build a fortress and play war with a huge army. believe me its a wonderfull game.. you really feel the middle age!

in a tutorial its normal that you first learn how to build a town.. its normal

Your town is sooo inefficient. You'd never have enough space for even the amount of noblemen to build a cathedral. Well maybe, but then youd have to build all the plantations on another island xD

If you're not enough without cheats dude, you'll never be enough with them.

As much as I enjoy the 'artistic' setup of your town, I'm not convinced that it will pay off in the long run. You should turn off your trainer and play the game for real.

That makes sense. There is a little bit of inactivity between house #11 and the placement of the chapel, but with perfect timing you can avoid any real stops. If you build only 11 houses and let people move in, you will have the 12 wood needed for the chapel at the perfect time if you place 4 woodchoppers that work at 100% efficiency. As soon as the first citizen pops, you can buy the Flagship and bring back 40 wood and 20 tools from lord northburg. :p

hm,not really,its similar but this is set in reinessance while Anno 1701 is set in industrial age(Am i right? No?) not sure how to call it :P

Anyway i got this game too,i did not really play it,but i like RTS's. I played it on maxed out but on the beginning it lagged like hell(in that larged town) after that i lowered AA and one more thing,i think AF and it worked like charm.
