Of course it comes in handy to wear when it is cold or even warm when I was back home in Peshawar it helped with the wind/sand.But the hata (blessing scarf/flag) can also symbolize what region you are from ( some even say it symbolize if you are Al Jihad/Takfir wa Hijra).But it actually stands for solidarity,togetherness,common bond,communality in peace.And I'm not quite sure if the people in the video know that and they just wearing it because they ignorant and associate it with terrorists.
