I talked to them on the radio in LA I was 14 when this was on I got to ask 1 question If they were like they were on tv One was a brat and one was nice, They were SHOCKED and gasped "Kate's not a brat!!"
I have a twin sister people say we are identical but that's never been confirmed we are asked if we trick people by being the opposite which we NEVER did at all.
Marge Champion - of the famous dance duo Marge and Gower Champion of many a Hollywood musical - was the Sagal siblings' stepmother until their father's passing in 1981.
Liz mentions in this interview that Jean is anxious to have kids. She indeed has three children.
Liz and Jean were "The Doublemint Twins" in TV ads in the early 1980s.
Liz and Jean look fantastic these days, but more closely resemble sister Katey than ever before.
The twins were in "Grease 2." Liz Sagal wrote and was executive story editor for "Charmed." She also wrote and produced several episodes of "Sons of Anarchy," which stars sister Katey. Jean has worked on "Two and a Half Men" and "Just Shoot Me."
CrackerLance should be called CrackerDouche. The Sagal twins were wonderfully charming, and "Double Trouble" was a great series. That and "It's Your Move" were the highlights of NBC's 1984 comedy schedule.
All dead now (Johnny, Ed & Steve Landesberg), as well as the Sagal sister's careers. I remember EVERYTHING, but have no recollection of these two or their series "Double Trouble." By the way, what an utterly clever title & premise. Sounds like some fake show that would be conjured up as a sub-plot in some crappy movie. It's always a little pathetic seeing someonne having their 15 minutes a hundred years ago. So cutesy & full of themselves. Like a star on the Walk of Fame was in their hip pocket
@CrackerLance Intresting? It seems to me one of them is the associate Producer for Two and a Half Men (Jean) and Liz was in a few movies and TV shows after Double Trouble. So yes they may not be acting but they are for sure not done in show business and made careers in show business.
@wossamaggiga I wonder if Katey has a relationship with her younger sisters like Eric & Julia have with each other which is non contact. Katey would star on "married with children" soon after Double Trouble failed and become a big Tv star from then on but I never see her with her little sisters. You'd never know they were related. I alwsy thought that Katey Segal was Steven Segal's littlwe sister but I was wrong. She is realted to these two ladies.
@Edgehead10075 They appeared on other shows, like Picket Fences. They both are into television production now. Liz works as a story editor... Jean is a technical coordinator - worked on Two and Half Men, Just Shoot Me.
They were so different in their real lives because Liz was actually the wild one and Jean was the quiet one. I read that online in interviews before. Liz was the one in the black leather. Liz also had a singing career as well. Now Liz has been doing writing for tv shows.
I love this because it shows how the girls played the characters that were different from themselves - Liz (in black leather) played the conservative Allison while the more reserved Jean played wild Kate. Double Trouble was my favorite show as a kid! Thanks for posting this!
I always liked Jean more but both were cuties.

It's a shame that these two never made it as actresses.

Awesome! I completely forgot about this guest-appearance. All that would make it complete is the clip of Steve Landesberg's stand-up routine.*
*He's the curly-haired guy with blue suit and glasses. Used to play Detective Arthur Dietrich on BARNEY MILLER.

@Carycomic FORGOT? I once forgot my middle name but I have never come close to forgetting this segment. Many thanks to LPXI for posting.
But yeah, seeing Landesberg doing stand-up would be sublime.
