No, I think that the world could have become a 10x more wonderful place if at the end of WWII the US and USSR would have worked together. I would have loved if they had combined their ideologies, taking American capitalism and Soviet atheism, and basically creating modern social democracy decades earlier than has happened in reality. The two would really have formed the core of a stable global system, and without their disagreements the UN could have evolved into a real, empowered global body.
Why can't Americans, and Russians be allies? I don't get it? Why does my country always have to ally with Turks and Muslims against Russia, when we share all of the same enemies, and share the same religion? This cold war bullshit has to stop. No, I think that the world could have become a 10x more wonderful place if at the end of WWII the US and USSR would have worked together. I would have loved if they had combined their ideologies, taking American capitalism and Soviet atheism, and basically creating modern social democracy decades earlier than has happened in reality. The two would really have formed the core of a stable global system, and without their disagreements the UN could have evolved into a real, empowered global body.

USSR sent its forces into Aphganistan on request of the Aphgan government. There was a war against islamic radical opposition, supported by radicals from Iran. USA stupidly helped Aphgan radicals with arms and military experts. And now USA is fighting the same guys with the same anti-islamic-radicalism goal, just like USSR was doing!
And yes, Russia supports Iran nuclear energy program, that is peaceful, not military one. Russia is as concerned about the possibility of Iran nuclear bomb as USA.

I am against communism in most of its aspects. Still in my opinion communism is way better than religious radicalism and terrorism. Fighting with communism in the third world countries USA supported the rise of islamic radicals, which later became terrorists. United States themselves created a new and far worse enemy for themselves than communism.
And Russia supported every move of USA in the War on Terror until the invasion of Iraq. We warned that it would be a mistake, and we were right.

No they didnt germany owned russia(the first years, but were attacked on all fronts,russia had one front and with endles people. Germany went out of men in the age for fighting, but you were better than Germany to fight the winter ,the german tanks and soldiers died/broke down in the extreme winter and they spread out in the wast area of land that is russia. They run through youre western lands up to moskva in no time then stopped and went saouth. The germans had nearly no man in soldier age after the war,means nearly all died in battle. Stalin was removed becus all the bad things he have done to his people but we all know what the russian soldiers did in the war,it was they wich won, not Stalin. If you go to europe and ask a person then you wil see that it is much different from USA.

It's not only because we are neighbours (we Serbs are also neighbours with croatia, albania but we hate them), it's our same mentality. F*ck you! Ppl do not hate Putin in former USSR- the politic authorities s in ex-ussr countries are constantly trying to steer up the trouble and make up lies about Putin. They are extremely jealous of his popularity in their own countries and that's why all sorts of propaganda is applied. But the people adore and respect Putin everywhere for everything he is. I am from Eastern Ukraine and wish we'd have such a president like him!
