That was odd.... The 4S wouldn't respond, thought battery was dead, plugged it in and still nada. Then after doing a hard reset (hold home + power down at same time until apple logo appears) it came back to life. Didn't go into recovery mode, maybe because it wasn't activated via iTunes? I have backups on iCloud, but I may try connecting to iTunes via wifi today.

@tuneyfish99 Anyone thinking about getting the 16 gig version of iPhone STOP! most everyone I know who bought 16 gig models thinking it would be "enough" soon found out otherwise when they became addicted to apps. Not to mention that you can't expand storage with SD cards. And this has the best camera on an phone bar none and you will quickly use up space taking videos and pictures. It's worth taking the plundge and investing in at least the 32 gig model.

@StanleyMan221 - There are lots of good things about android, but I just couldn't get past some really frustrating things. I tried rooting the device and had all kinds of trouble, and couldn't reverse the problems which led to hours of time spent in and out of AT&T. I had the HTC Inspire, which didn't have the most basic functions like copy/paste, and it supposed supported flash but that didn't work and AT&T couldn't help. The battery would last about 3 hours, wasn't mac friendly.....etc.
