Just thought of something, couldn't Jack have not used the reversing mirror and allowed the blast to hit Chase Young, possibly injuring him considerably? Then he could have worked with Wuya and persuaded Omi to stick with him, then while Chase is (hopefully) unconscious, seal him within that orb shen gong wu (I have sadly forgotten the name), the one he used to trap Chase before, thereby taking all of Chase's possessions again? It just struck me as a perfect time for a double-cross.

Though, I think Chase could defeat her (maybe?) at her full strength, I don't see why anyone would risk it. I would say he made the right decision.
