This is great! My 2yo can't quite swim face down yet, but ISR did a great job of teaching him to float & scoot around on his back so he can reach the steps or edge. Such a relief to know these kids can help themselves in case of an accident!!! I am a big believer in ISR!
wow that is so cool.. i barely learned how to swim last year, and im 18!
well i almost drowned once, my uncle thought it'd be cool to make me go down a water slide when i was like 7... needless to say the lifeguard had to save me! =/
i knew how to swim since i was 1 1/2 something like this. but one day when i was in a pool my bathing suit got caught to a nail that was sticking out of the light at the bottom of the pool. i did what i was taught but it was stuck on rlly good. after about 1 minute i started to loose breath and i thought i was going to for sure die. then something came in the water and saved me. to this day no one knos who it was or is!!! i feel like it was my guardian angel!! =)
Same here, But i was 8 but when i was 5 i fell into a green pond at my grandmas country home and they were inside a glass window but luckily i knew how to float for the 2 minutes i waited until my 29 year old brother saved me
well considering the amount of babies that drown each year this is not the case. Most of the babies you see on here have grown up in the water and trained from a very young age.
ISR is a specialized swimming program for infants & young children that teaches the babies to roll on their back to get their air. You can see this in the video. He swims underwater and then rolls to a float to get air and then turns over to keep swimming. The beauty of the float is that when its taught properly by a Certified ISR Instructor, it is sustainable for long periods of time, giving the baby critical aquatic survival skills
i seen somthing on tv about babies being able to swim underwater apparently they are able to do this from nearly newborn and the vid was amazing as was this :)
that is so cool did it take her a long time to learn that? my girls are tring to swim right now there dad knows how but me mom i dont know how is it to late for me to learn how to swim? please let me know thanks.
my 2yr old swims underwater has been doin it from 9weeks old, like this lil one he loves he, thou mine tends to go a lot deeper in the water from standin on the side and throwin himself in:P
i just let my girls play in the water and my oldest is trying to swim we watch her. she will go in the deep end so i think she could learn on her own i don't know how but with me and my girls we will learn on are own

Babies and most mammals are born with an instinct to hold your breath and move your legs while underwater. Quite breathtaking no pun intended...
