I love his voice! It just goes perfectly with their music. I've tried very hard but i can't imagine any other kind of voice singing The Decemberists song's and sounding as great as they do.

I just love how "whale" is pronounced in the beginning of the song. I love the rest of the song too.

Great song! Great album. I love the way they take English folk rock from the late 60s (Fairport Convention) and mix it with early 70s English Prog Rock mixed with Yankee sensibilities to create a vibrant new, but retro, sound.

the decemberists all have terrible voices, they are not the most good looking people in the world, yet their music is fucking brilliant. I would pay whatever price tag to actually see this group play as their interaction with the crowd is hardly what one sees any more. This is probably one of the best songs, next to the shankill butcher, that this group has pulled out. This video is not the best however, and the ending is cut, but still it will flop over into my favorites.
