since you own both...i have to ask you...if have an asus eee pc 1000h...do you think its worth returning it to purchase the asus n10j-a2? i use it mainly for portability...from what i know...the n10 has a great battery as well + better graphics for gaming...so what do you think?
Of course, people should be warned. It is not the best processor for gaming. The processor kinda kinda cripple the overall gaming performance. Some games that you would think should run well, don't. Many people have resorted to overclocking theirs in order to get a decent playable performance in some games.
Razer Lycosa, It is a great keyboard, but the electronics inside are questionable... my first one couldn't press certain keys until I unplugged it then plugged it back in, i returned that one, and haven't had issues for 6 months, but then I just couldn't hit the 'I' key until I unplugged it, so this one isnt as bad but has the same problem.
Thnks for the review. By the way, I noticed your pretty backlight keyboard... Could you say, as a backlight user, what backlight keyboard would you recommend for a night typist?
I really like my backlit keyboard, it is the Razer Lycosa. It has good tactical feedback and I'm pretty happy with it. The only issue with them is maybe quality control, since the first one I bought had keys that didnt work. But I replaced it with a new one and this one is really nice.
might be possbile to overclock this baby to 2ghz, and the nvidia 9300 to 700mhz. donno.. this must be the cheapest gaming netbook on the market right now~
I would like to know if it gets really hot when playing games on the nvidia card?So besides the graphics card, yeah not much of a difference with the Eee 1000.I don't think its worth getting,I just got a eee 1000H at half the price of the N10J.The N10 also have a bigger foot print, battery sticks out,I read its got lower battery life,AND even heavier than the 1000H.So to answer 'Shurcool's question,it is 3.5 lbs. which makes it about 3 oz. heavier than the 1000H.Thanks for the video.
Im very surprised, but it does not get very hot at all, in fact the cooling is so much better on the N10 than the 1000H, that the N10 running folding@home at full speed does not get as hot as the 1000H running normally. The N10 definately produces more heat but it is dissappated very nicely by the system, and doesn't get stagnant heat buildup.
i have the n10j, i don't game too much but i overclocked my intel atom to 2.03ghz, overall most games are playable

Useful review, thanks.
I´m also surprised about your statement saying this machine runs cooler than the 1000 series. Good to know, though.

Do you know if the N10 has the same or a similar multitouch-enabled touchpad (with gestures) as the eee 1000h?
Would be so good to know. Havent found anything about it on the internet yet.
Thanks!

Mine says "Synaptics TouchPad V6.2" I haven't tried the multitouch drivers yet.

Just one quick question I could'nt find an answer to anywhere on the internet: Does the N10 have a multitouch-enabled touchpad like the eee 1000?
Very important for me, almost killer-feature. It would simplify my daily work and browsing experience soooo much :-)
Please, do you know the answer?
Thanks!
