i tune scalectrix cars and other slot cars the fastest one i have build is an Astra DTM hitting speeds over 50 mph it has an brush less motor and has a full suspension with on board battery for an extra boost home made diff the normal plastic ones break and not strong enough to stay in place so i bought metal ones and a good magnet which is electric magnet you can turn it off and on and the magnet switch is controlled wireless with another controller

This is truly amazing. I had tingles up my back when you'd see the onboard camera of the SLR show you the aston just slowly pull ahead like a real race! Or when the camera would be placed to the side a little, so it'd look down the track as the Aston or SLR would fly down at speed. Cannot get enough of this!
