Nice of you to do this. I remember Conway growing up and my parents listening to him. I am glad someone finally did a tribute to this wonderful artist. If anyone is interested Kenny Chesney is remaking some of his songs as a tribute.
I seen Conway in Houston around 1971 before he reached his fame. We got to the club about 3 hours before the show and Conway and "Porkchop" (drummer) were shooting pool. I bought them a beer and we just sat down and talked like we had know each other for years.......then he started having hit after hit. The next time I saw him he had bodyguards all around him due to the women going WILD>.....I will always remember that night.........We miss you, Conway.
