Actually, I doubt Jaco could play with this degree of rhythmic virtuosity, so neatly, for so long; especially later in his career. Astonishingly, it is possible to imagine Lagrene is playing Jaco better than Jaco. Though, I agree, he isn't creating new music.

Wow...I had no clue Bireli could play such a nasty bass. It's rather obvious Jaco showed him a thing or two. It's also obvious that this is a tribute to Jaco. Yes he sounds and plays like Jaco because he was a good friend of Jaco's. This video tells me that Bireli acknowledges that Jaco was the best. Why else would he play EXACTLY like him? I think this is an awesome video. I'm further pleased Bireli can play bass properly; not nearly enough guitar players see the value in that.
