  • For Humanity and Earth! Might is right!

  • buh buh buh buh buh buhbuh

  • This should be paragon ending. I was mostly paragon in ME and I let the Council die.

  • @SlappedYak317

Silly goyim doesn't see the subtle message here...

As a communist even in-game, I say fuck all the races and their shitty cultures that are contrary to the revolution. Krogan make useful idiots, but Volus and Asari need to be wiped out though.

Q'urians too. They're fucking annoying with all their traditions and tribalisms... but since all one needs do is cough in their direction, it's not an issue.

  • Wheres the M-920 Cain when you need it

  • >Best ship in the galaxy

    >Can't defend itself

  • does anyone know what happens if you choose the option on the right? "Concentrate on Sovereign"

  • @johnnycajxrt I do.. I didn't know what to do so I got it. You get +8 Paragon and +9 Renegade and the council dies.

  • @johnnycajxrt That's the option I chose when I played the first one. I don't think it's quite as cruel as simply letting the council die. It's something I hope to explain to the other races in Mass Effect 3.

  • @11COMICNERD but the way people act toward you in ME2 is the same as this right? if you choose "Concentrate on Soveriegn" or "Let the Council Die" the council dies and the other races treat you like crap

  • @johnnycajxrt In Mass Effect 2 they treat you like crap. But I'm hoping to explain myself to the other races in ME3.

  • Also, really really dislike the renegade ending, the whole "humans have a right to rule the galaxy" pisses me off...I mean it's so damn egotistical - we're a tiny fledgling species compared to the Asari, the Turian, the Salarians, the hanar, the nolan, the elcor...and we just barge in thinking we can save the galaxy on our own...GOD I LOVE THIS GAME - I've never cared this much about an RPG xD even oblivion doesn't manage to make you think about consequences this much

  • The ending really posed a moral dilema...or at least I thought it did. On my first run through I chose "focus on sovereign" not because I wanted the council or the thousands of people on the Ascension to die, but because if it was a case between council dies or sovereign dies, that's just a choice for the greater good. BUT, it's not...it's a case of council lives or dies, sovereign gets taken down either way...and one way humans decide they deserve to run the galazy >.>.... I reloaded :P

  • come on man so many death hot asaris! I couldnt do that!

  • I didn't have the heart to do this. 10,000+ lives on the Ascension or a few hundred people lost to save them. Even if the council are utter tits, I want to rub it in their scaley faces when the reapers are here in ME3. You have dismissed nothing. NOTHING!

HEY ASHLEY, WHAT DID YOU SAY BECAUSE I COULDN'T HEAR YOU OVER ALL THIS SLIGHT BACKGROUND NOISE!?

  • Saren : And I must SCREEEEEAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMM

  • I'm a mostly paragon player, and the way I look at it, letting those fuckheads live is about the worst thing you can do for the galaxy

  • poor Saren. look what happened to him :(

  • This is not Full renegade!

  • Lol! I like how the alliance fleet was just cruising by causally while the destiny Ascension just got lit up!

  • How many people do you guys think where on the Asencion also why didnt the asari commander just tell the civilians to go into life pods if their barriers were down?

  • On my first playthrough, i said to concentrate on Sovereign, because i thought it made more sense to commit everything to the immediate threat, and that if the council died they could always pick new council members. i wasn't really thinking about fucking the council over. So when my Shepard said "i saw my chance and i took it", i was like that's not what i meant!

  • @ginnoveffect That was the same thing I did, and I really didn't want them to die. Sovereign was the greatest threat. 3 people=rest of the galaxy... I don't think so. Now, we have to wait for Mass Effect 3 to find out how big the consequnces really are :p

  • @Crucible52 i know right? i was worried that if i lost too many ships saving the Council, it would be harder to take down Sovereign.

i can't wait to see what the consequences of every choice are in ME3. It's so exciting!

  • @ginnoveffect I let the council die my first run in 1 for this very reason.

  • @ginnoveffect i dont think that plays a role mainly because in the ps3 version you only have the option to save or sacrifice the council, from what i heard there is a edning in mass effect 3 where the reapers could win, dont to know if its true or just made up we will have to see

  • what about concentrate on sovereign??

  • haha i like how at 7:02 it sounds like someone on the alliance ships just leaned out the porthole with a sniper rifle lol

  • I saved the Destiny Ascension.....Saving the council was just an unfortunate by-product xD

I'm really hoping for a scene in ME3 of the DA firing a round clean through a reaper...that woud make my day :3

  • @AdorableUKe

Couldn't even do crap against small crap ships lol :(

    Big hunk of junk

  • if u see a few ships before the ascension dies are still alive surley they can push the geth back i mean their ships are more advanced the the alliance ships surley if the Alliance can the turians and asari can.

  • I fucking love how the tone of the entire ending changes with that decision. Show me one scene in ME2 or ME3 that beats it, and I'll be impressed.

  • Hold back obviously, who sacrifices tons of people just for a few people. What ever, HUMANITY WILL FUCK ALL YOU BITCHES UP YO!............hahaha I always make my sheppard black.

  • i just cant play any of theese games as evil, dont have it in me

  • I always thought the "Let the council die" choice ruined the Humans are big damn heroes ending. It just doesn't feel as cool when the cavalry comes in and ignores a plea for help.

  • I had full paragon on ME and I let the council die. They should have listened to me earlier.

  • 1:32 I repeat "nothing else matters"..and Metallica starts

  • Ha! The "how could you?!" look on the Asari commander's face at 2:01 is hilarious. In my opinion. I always play paragon, so this is interesting for me to see.

  • @FarhansUsername same for me. if you save the council then you may get to see their faces in ME3

  • "dude joker look its the council ship!!!" joker "bobby dont lie to me" bobby " no really look" [ascension explodes] joker "i knew your where lieying looks like im not banging you to night'

  • Chek my Mass Effect Video :)

    /watch?v=NHui0FxOB-o

  • PewPewPew...

  • 3:51

    It's a FROG! RUUUUUUN!!!

  • I love all the facial reactions. Joker just shuts it off all calm like and the commander is crapping her pants.

  • Well I hate to ask, but would anyone give my profile a look. There is funny stuff & mostlIndustiral-EBM/METALl.

-Thank you for your time, please help up get up and running with more of anything. Friends, Subs, anything.

    -Turns Off Pain Productions-

  • prees 2 really fast its funny

  • Ahhley:QUICK LIKE TOTALY OPEN THE DOORS LOL *SNORT* MABEY THE FLEET CAN TAKE SOVEREING DOWN BEFORE HE LIKE REGIANS CONTROL OF THE STATION

    Shepard:What the fuck!

  • man this endnig was a pain for me, i ran out of bullets for all weapons due to a overheating glitch from weapons mod, garrus was ko, and ashley just stared at staren-sovereign without shooting, i barely made it by shoving its face.

  • I love how emotionless Ashleys face is AS she's screaming

  • It dosnt mater how big the ship is its just like joker: said u need firer power as well

  • joker's like "fuck you bitch"

  • renegade choices just screw you over in the final game becuase all ppl that will help are dead

  • I sure hope this won't come back to bite me in the ass.........

  • @mpoyrthras well, if you save them it does too, they are like ungrateful sons of bitches...

  • ''Commander... they closed the channel...''

    MUHAHAHAHA

  • If it was Darth Vader's fleet coming in, he would have probably destroyed the Destiny Ascension himself, along with every Turian and Geth ship in the area, before attacking sovereign.

  • It's funny: In my paragon adept playthrough, Tali was the one worrying about Human lives while Ashley was saying how it's bigger than humanity. It was amusing.....

  • @jedimasterpickle3 haha yeah in mines ashley wanted you to save the council and Garrus was the one saying don sacrifice human lives.. in think its just random

  • @mamobster1500 Or a glitch in positioning.....The one on the left wants humanity's best interests while the one on the right wants to save the council

  • 1:22 why has Liara got tweaking eyes?

  • Isn't it more logical to focus more troops on the citadel?

The council is only 3 people, they can easily be replaced...

  • @marharth + thousands of other aliens on the Ascention. You can't really think that big ass ship is only holding 3 people.

  • @motyeszz So your going to risk losing the capital of the galaxy, and possibly lose all form of government, just to save a few thousand people and the council?

  • ashley,stop yelling , i'm standing right here ¬¬"

  • this decision would proably bite you in the ass in Mass Effect 3. You let the council live.. they'll be on your side in ME3

  • @mamobster1500 Actually, this could be great for ME3.

An all-human Council will absolutely be sure to help you retake Earth from the Reapers.

But Mr. Turian Councilor would probably airquote you and say they've "dismissed those claims..."

  • @AICW Great Point.. But remember its ALL of the reapers.. It'll still be harder for the other races to trust you

  • 8:45

mass effect 1 end=poor shepard....wait can't we fix him/her like in million dollar man?

mass effect 2 beggining=we have the technology....we can rebuild him/her *dramatic music*

  • Joker saved us all

  • Ah, yes, "Saving the council". We have dismissed that possibility.

  • Ashleys un needed screaming

  • I went like all Paragon this game it felt like something the real commander shepherd would do

  • i love the "WTH!!???" look @ 2:01 =D

  • Ashley: QUICK! OPEN THE DOORS! MAYBE THE FLEET CAN TAKE SOVEREIGN DOWN BEFORE HE REGAINS CONTROL OF THE STATION!!!

    shepard: WHY ARE WE YELLING!!??

  • @wwwaddict14 I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT!!!!

  • this would have been a perfect time for a "THE COUNCIL CAN KISS MY ASS!"

  • 0:10 Shepard: "Stop fucking yelling Ashley! I'm standing right here!"

  • i wonder how the hell in ME2 everyone knows shepard let the council die. it seems to me only Normandy crew will know this.

  • @KuhoinX

Joker; MY BEST FRIEND SHEPARD LET THE COUNCIL DIE, LOL

  • @KuhoinX They must be a chatty bunch xD

  • my friend didnt killed this bos in 27 times and he didnt sat the end ;D i will show him this movie to help and save his time ^^ :[)

  • He's dea- oh, wait. S**t.

  • The Admiral seems a bit depressed in this one.

  • When I played Ashley said to save the council and Laiara said let them die

    Weeird

  • If they could combine the biotic abilities from mass effect 2 and the gameplay style and the moon buggy thing from mass effect in Mass effect 3 It would be the BEST GAME EVER!!

  • I was seeing Video of Mass effect 2 ending Saved the council

Then I looked in the related Videos and saw this Vid

    And I was like " Now THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! "

  • Salarian Councilor: "I hope your ready to make sacrifices when the time comes."

Fast Forward to the Destiny Ascension getting destroyed.

    Shepard: " Well...."

  • @notfromphoenix Boy did that choice of words come back and bite him in the ass!

  • @ShadowSplicer57

that's why nowone invented a boomerang with teeth XD

  • @ShadowSplicer57 Indeed it did!

  • 2:00 must of had At&T

  • That guy reminds me of General Grievous combined with The Arbiter...

  • christ i hated that fucking turian. didnt regret it in mass effect 2 one iota.

  • 0:12- Stop yelling bitch I'm right here.

  • the renegade ending is really depressing, while the paragon ending is so heroic... hmmm... which one?

  • tbh, what the council does in me2 makes me regret saving them even though im full paragon.

  • I did not let the council die... the council let the council die did we not warn MANY times we told them hey theres a psychotic alien that is trying to kill us they said no I came back with proof and told them there was psychotic space machines working with the alien trying to kill us and they said no its not possible we don't believe you and I said ok. And when shit hit the fan and they where asking for help you know what I did... I gave them the finger.

  • ***BITCHES SQUAD***

  • I find it pretty funny that if you play ME2, but don't use one of the ME1 characters you have, the game assumes that you played through as a Renegade, but without all the Renegade/Paragon choices you have to make, since Wrex is still dead, along with the council...

  • @skynet091287 Yup, letting the Council die is the CANON ENDING.

I love it, Bioware, you finally overcame your unswerving worship of cardboard-cutout heroes!

  • @syn010110 Since Bioware has announced that ME3 will be last last game focusing on Shepard, i kinda hope that the Paragon ending has Shepard sacrifice himself to stop the Reapers forever!

  • @syn010110 Just because letting the Council die is the default choice for a new Shepard in ME2 doesn't make it the "CANON ENDING." It's the default choice because it has the least amount of ties to the ME1 story while playing ME2. Same thing for Wrex/Anderson/Etc. BioWare didn't want those who were new to the series thinking "what the fuck are they talking about?" The Renegade ending is just easier to understand if you didn't play the first.

  • Joker is the real renegade here, turning off the distress call and not givin a shit

  • @nevrest i know right, i did pagon so i didnt see this, but when i did, i holy shit'd

  • Jesus Christ Ashley! Blow out my eardrums why don't you!

Someone uses the Caps Lock button too much, me thinks!

  • @barraki92

It's not just her. For some reason everybody sounds obnoxiously loud and horrible with that line. Kaiden Garrus etc. Must have a been a fluke of the voice director.

  • @bob1986

I know what you mean, the only people who seem to talk without Caps Lock at that point are Tali, Wrex and Liara.

  • I accidentally skipped this cutscene n my playthrough. Now I feel extreeemely bad about sacrificing the council :(

  • Destiny Ascension: We are taking heavy damage, GARDIAN systems are overwhelmed, kinetic barr-

Garrus on the Normandy: can it wait a bit? im in the middle of some calibrations.

    Destiny Ascension: =0

  • can i get my me2 character to me1? :D

  • @UnfortunateClick I think you can get some of em.

  • @blacksuite1 i even forgave the evil scientist and if am alone @ ME3 im gonna go back in ME1 and kill'em All

  • LOL I like how it doesn't matter in the end i killed and saved the cancel on Full Paragon alll the same XD the ending must be Cannon.

  • why does everyyyone play as the female im not tryinig to be sexist but seriously every video of mass effect someone plays female whyy???

  • @12jo0 So we can have something pretty to look at.

  • @12jo0 Cause it's sexy to play as a girl...lol. I don't know. I myself have two files. My guy character is the paragon(Iplay as him first), and my female character is a renegade. I have two to see all the outcomes in the games, know hat I mean? Won't mess out on anything.

  • (cont. from previous post) Also, if you don't have the citadel ships attack Sovereign you can still have them protect your rear from any further Geth attacks. Keep in mind, this is all assuming you do not know how the battle is going to end.

  • @zetatrain But the ascension is running away, not helping anyone but there sorry ass.

  • You know, I used to see the renegade being the more logical choice by far, but in a sense the paragon can be just as logical as well. Speaking hypothetically, If you have the fleet attack the Geth to save the Ascension, you save the Ascension and other ships in the area and that allows them to aid you in the attack against Sovereign. Plus, less Geth ships means a less likely chance that you will be attacked from behind when attacking Sovereign.

  • hey is there any difference in what you character looks like depending on how renegade you are? if so, what are the changes?

  • What was this recorded with?

  • In going through a play in ME2, I talked to a certain reporter, who criticised my sacrificing of human lives to save the council.

Turns out the destiny ascension had a crew of 10.000+possibly anything it evacuated(13 million people on the citadel after all). Each Turian ship had 300 people on it.

The Alliance lost 6 or 8 vessels(forgot which) of the same size as the Turian ones.

I think we can safely say now that yes, letting all those guys die for 6/8 ships is Renegade.

  • Really guys, I also have to join those speaking against the great majority of you when I say this is indeed the Renegade option.

First of all, the council's decisions weren't all that weird. Sure, for you they looked like assholes, but their explanations were always sound. They just couldn't start a war on your word and some "visions".

Secondly, saving the ascension saves all survivors from the Citadel + the entire crew/any personnel on board. That ship = a fleet, so lots of people on board.

  • @Unahim You should also note that their Alliance SOLDIERS. Soldiers should know the risk and their duty is to protect civilians. Even if it means self sacrifice.

Realistically speaking the Council isn't all that bad. Their like a jury. No proofs no convictions. If the AI Vigil were still around then the Council would've believed Shepard.

  • @ShadowJ20 That's a good way of putting it ^^

  • Awesome game but like others here I don't get why sacrificing the council for the greater good is the renegade option. Let's see, kill thousands of lifes and maybe sacrifice the entire universe to save 3 people, who for the most part of the game work against you and criticize all your choices, even the good ones or let them die to get give the mission a greater chance of success and save untold billions upon billions of lifes. Yeah, that's evil -_-

  • @slask25 honestly I had a paragon character and just went with my gut and fired on Sovereign anyway. I mean, sure either way things will end ok, but if it were me in that situation, I wouldn't throw away the only chance I had at stopping what could possibly be the most dangerous threat in the universe.

  • @myDAnameistakenD8 I don't understand why more people didn't see it that way. Not knowing what would happen, to me "lose the council, or lose this battle and mass deaths" wasn't even a choice. If the Reaper fleet had arrived it doesn't seem likely the council would have survived so the "paragon" choice could possibly lose it all.

  • @OtakuRea Yeah, i thought so first too. But on my second playthrough i realised this is the first of the trilogy, so I knew whatever the choice Sovereign would die, so i saved them.

  • @slask25 It's actually not an evil choice it's just not a straight forwardly 'good' one. Renegade does not necessarily mean evil.

  • @slask25 The Destiny Ascencion has a crew + citadel survivors count of 10000+ ;)

Read "Unahim"´s comment, I also got it in ME2, I´m glad I chose right.

  • @bogeyatyour6 Still, it's peanuts compared to the untold billions upon billions of the rest of the universe. It's all down to numbers really. The biggest number win.

  • @slask25 How do you mean that?

If you save the Destiny Ascencion, a couple (3, 6?) alliance ships are destroyed, none of them having more than 300+ crew.

You mean because of the effects of losing strategic space supremacy?

  • @bogeyatyour6 Something like that, yeah. Anyway, in the second game the new council is as bad a old one so saving or sacrificing makes little to no difference. Still, in a strategic situation it makes sense to let a big ship swallow most of the fire while the kill team move in, so to speak. Don't want to think too deeply into this cause it's just a game, but it's what I would've done in the same situation.

  • @slask25 Yeah ;) we shouldn´t speak about our strategic insights, too much for the public ;)

With all due respect (hahaha Ashley! ;-D ), I get your point.

My sight on the issue is different, but np ;)

    Yes, it´s just a game :)

  • Suffer Not The Xeno To Live! thats the motto I follow.

  • This is the good ending as far as I am concerned. The Council was completely ignorant and repeatedly put the whole galaxy in unnecessary danger. Besides, in Mass Effect, humanity is the better species; it has all the strengths and none of the weaknesses of the other species.

  • Sacrificing thousands of lives, no matter what the race, is good compared to sacrificing a bunch of stubborn fools who will not acknowledge the Reapers as a threat in the next game (WHOOPS, SPOILER ALERTS~!)? Guess I'm choosing to kill the Council then. *walks away from the Destiny Ascension*

  • I don't understand why this is a renegade dission.

Since when is Sacrifice thousands innocent ppl for a dysfunctional council a good dission?

  • @19ROY88 Remember if you sacrifice the council you also sacrifice thousands of alien lives as well, it's not just three aliens it's the fleets protecting the Ascension as well.

  • @Truthseeker1891 I will fight to my dying breath to defend Earth. Who's with me!?

  • 1:58 - Commander, they close the channel...

    Commander - LOLWUTWTFOMG?

  • First time I played through, Garrus vouched to kill the council while Ashley said otherwise.

  • Admiral Hackett is such a bad ass.

  • i dont follow the series to well but that reaper ship that got destroyed...theres hundreds of those attacking earth in mass effect 3 trailer

  • I'm just way too well tempered to go renegade ;_;

  • This woman shephard sounds like Lilly from How I Met Your Mother

  • "Nothing else matters".. i was blown away by that cut scene.

  • I love the scene from 1:41 - 1:47. Pure chaos.

  • ashley wanted me to save the council.....?

  • Muhahaha I did the same because they really ticked me off and also I love Admiral Hacketts voice

  • I just played this. i sacrificed the council, but i said it the neutral way. also, i was sorry for this, cause it affects the ending. *oh wells*

  • Shepard: *goes to save Ascensi--* OHWAIT. The council is onboard? Oh well, this is for the greater good, anyways. *walks away*

  • vote up if you think that the space battle outside looks like the end space battle from Knight of the Old Republic

  • galaxy is better place when youn save the coucil

on galaxy news every specie is tanking to the humanity turians are making preparitions for humas that died during "The first contact war" even that turian that works in gunshop doest hate humans

  • The full-on-Renegade ending was almost creepy at some points, especially with the music.

Now, on a totally unrelated note, I had already forgotten what an amazing voice Admiral Hackett had...

  • and then council was a zombies

  • The last final boss fights shows how overpowered the pistol is.

Lame weapon, should be restricted to some specific classes to maintain balance.

  • @aquapendulum

he is surely an infiltrator like i played. pistol is powered up by this class.. and the final boss is way to easy

  • @darkfelony I doesn't matter. The pistol is still imbalanced in other classes.

  • When I got to the end of this part, one of the back walls glitched out, and turned into a giant wall of different-colored squares. Has anyone else had this happen? Nothing else was glitched, only the back wall.

  • Council was useless (See Mass Effect 2)

  • on topic, they made the spoken renegade option sound exactly like the neutral one and even if you choose the neutral one it affects mass effect 2 the same way as if you picked renegade. seriously, wtf?

  • @retardstupidass IIRC, if you choose the neutral version, the council is human-dominated, but still has turians/salarians/asaris on it. The renegade option is a human-only council.

  • @omarhjawaid I know but the effects it has in ME2 are in no way different from each other.

  • @omarhjawaid 0.0 I didn't know that, must replay an evil account on ME1!!!

  • @omarhjawaid Yes, you said that before. But I knew that already. My point is that in this case picking the neutral option causes negative backlashes.

  • ya seriously y bother with the council, there just fucks

  • YAY THE COUNCIL DIED. HUZZAHHHHH!!!!!!!

  • @CaptainPwnt is the only way for him to be like that if u use renegade?

  • 1:27-1:34 - the freaking best cutscene in the whole game.

  • Liara kicks Ash's ass all over the place.

  • Shepard's ASSUMIND DIRECT CONTROL of the station. If there's one thing ME2 did better than ME1, it was creating a bunch of memes

  • @DaCruHunter it was a heavy risk...but tha priiiize

  • lmfao is there a point to that? Like I know it's hilarious but everyone makes fun of Jacob's line like it's some kind of inside joke. Could you elaborate? LoL
