Chandelure: Infamous for abusing its Flash Fire and its hit-and-away with Overheat w/specs. It also wields Energy Ball as its sub, and as well Hidden Power Fighting. It has superior Physical Defense, and could resist Metagross' Stone Edge or Earthquakes if invest it to HP.

Volcarona, on the other hand, can be quite versatile, and unlike Chandelure and the others, can do quite well in rain. Hurricane, Quiver Dance, Bug Buzz, Hidden Power Water, etc. Just watch out for Rocks.

weird thing is, I had a Larvesta lv 1 & I trained it to lv 100 but it never learned the moves 'morning sun' & 'butterfly dance' it did had the abillity to learn quiver dance and fiery dance, and another thing.. where did you come up with the name Ulgamoth? Isn't it called Volcarona?

The thing which sucks about the 2nd set is morning sun is an egg move. That means you can't use the one found in the Relic Castle. Sucks even more if you want fiery dance at 100. I think that move might be better since you start with less power, but it's a gamble.

Substitute is probably a good replacement, and it helps even more to be passed a sub beforehand even though that doesn't negate stealth rock. And man passed defense, that moth's gonna be a boss :P

That's right, because volcarona can't status him anyway which may happen with one of its other fire moves to different threats, and heatran can taunt which will just shut you down. Ground is a worthy choice.

You know I did the first Moveset for my Volcarona with some Exceptions: Instead of Fire Dance I used Overheat, yes Fire Dance is a good Signature Move, but with Butterfly Dance you can increase her Special Attack and release a BIG FIRESPLOSION (Without Worries for this harsh SP Attack lose) and instead of Psychic I used Hyper Beam, despite the Fact that she has to Rest a Round (I do not have any Problems with this) it is one GIGANTIC Special Attack

EV's: Effort Vaules. It's confusing at 1st, but its a simple system:

EV's what I consider 'skill points held'.

If you beat a Pokémon that has EVs (example: Haxorus has 3 EVs in attack) and if you KO two, you get 1 attack stat up every 4 EVs. All Pokémon have a max of 252 EVs (510 maxium EVs on a pokemon)

If you have 252 EVs on any stat, you get 63 points. Funfact: If you uses Arceus in a tornamunt, you cannot have more than 100 EVs on it.

I predict that when Smogon gets the 5th Gen Pokemon on, Volcarona will be in the Uber tier. Here's why:

After 1 Quiver Dance, it can cause a lot of damage to all Pokemon that don't resist it.

It has strength against the (very common in the Uber tier) Psychic type. Even Mewtwo's going to have trouble.

Better defences than you might think. And Morning Sun to recover.

Will-O-Wisp to cripple physical sweepers - Quiver Dance to guard against special.

Do you guys agrees with that?

@0ooGH3 I agree with you, Wynaut is a stupid choice. Just put in a Ghost Type physical Attacker, or a Dark Type special attacker.

Salamance makes an excellent physical sweeper, and with intimidate you're at an advantage right away. That's why it's in the Uber tier. A lot of Pokemon in that tier are quite frail - attack forme Deoxys can wipe out whole benches easily, but if it's hit by any super effective move it's gone.

I don't agree with everything Smogon decide. Charizard in NU? Why?

@gamesmaster516 In that particular picture, it looks a lot more detailed than the sprites found in the games, but I think it looks very akin to the artwork used on pokemon trading cards for all pokemon. In my opinion, in the game, it does look like a pokemon, and a pretty cool one at that.
