is it not R and S notation? i assumed D and L notation was strictly for chiral amino acids indicating they rotate polarised light to the left(L) or right(D)?
@bulletformygizmo, Yes it is R and S, D and L have absolutly nothing to do with R and S configuration. R and S is just a way of naming chiral molecules and D and L only say something about polarising light
