What a great video, looks like you had a great time also well done. I set off in may this year on my recumbent trike in aid of REGAIN the sports tetrapleigic charity that funded it.
I now have 101 questions to ask about this journey as i'm really eager to do it this summer, I need tips on where I can find out all the preparation I need to do for it. (books, dvds, websites etc)
Things like types of maps/map-planning, accommodation and equipment, i'm a little in the dark about.
Did this with some friends in August 1999. Used the YHA all the way and by the looks of it, a slightly different route. Penzance, Golant, Steps Bridge, Street, Welsh Bicknor, Clun, Chester, Slaidburn, Carrock Fell, Wanlock Head, Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Loch Ness, Carbisdale Castle, Tongue and John O Groats. Seeing your Vid though made me nostalgic. Going to have to go back this summer to some of those places with my bike. Well done lads.
feeling very inspired right now, im just 18 and my dad has recently died of myeloma and i was thinking about cycling the route to raise money for myeloma UK, by chance i decieded to youtube: 'Land's End to John o' Groats' and this was the first video i saw! its great to see other people supporting the same cause
i set off for land's end on tuesday and start off for john o'groats on thursday (27) any last minuite tips would be greatly apprecieated. nice video too. b
truely inspirational. i'm 15 at doing the cycle from lands end to john o groats, any tips on how to raise money or just to enjoy the bike ride. Any information will be much appreciated, thank you :)
awesome video guys!!! only 17 but did this last year with my mate for charity and so wish i had made a video!!! good luck to anyone who is doing this in the future! seriously the best experience of my life so far. shame i had to do it on a really shit road bike XD congrats again! done for a great cause!
Fantastic video guys, really well made. Inspiration aplenty. Am seeking to complete this route for charity myself, two things though...could anyone reccommend a good site to visit regards to training tips and route info and also what are the back tracks called (great music). Cheers and well done again.
well done guys!!! i'm hoping to do this next year with 2 friends. i'm fourteen. How long did it take you guys? and did you find it really hard? thanks for the info :)
