@NirvanaCoD Melkor didnt creat Sauron. Sauron was one of the Maiar who was then called Mairon. Melkor then corrupted him and turned him into his Lieutenant. Sauron took Melkors place as The Dark Lord after his death

i think this would of been a cool ending and the one they used in the final piece was pretty epic but... 1 problem with this version is: its kinda stupid saying "leave and never come back" yeah like that would happen 0_o

this scene is a disgrace of Tolkien work. Mouth of Sauron wasn't some demon looklike person, he was a great king of Black Numenorians, and Aragorn never beheaded him in the story. It's just shame how they thought they can change a story ,that already is great, with some unnecessary action. In my opinion the third movie is the worst one of the hole trilogy.

@pizdach1 Well, in the theatrical version this scene was never shown so I guess it was better that way.

Same could be said about making a literal 'eye of Sauron', though.

Why does everyone bitch about whether this scene should be in whichever version of the film?? I think they made the right choice; it's fine that it's missing from the theatrical version and makes a nice addition to the Extended Edition. So it's overall FINE as things are!! ...and no it's obviously not Sauron, if you think then you might aswell think he's Darth Vader.

@juvedel10 The Death of Saruman should NOT have been in the film! He died after Sauron was defeated by the hand of Wormtongue in the Shire.

And Mouth of Sauron did not die like this. He was a diplomat not to be harmed.

@xRedStingx I think the only advantage to having the death of Saruman scene in the movie is that it would explain why the Shire appeared to be uncorrupted in the film, rather than overtaken by Saruman and Wormtongue like it was in the book. But I kind of wish they had made an extended version that included Tom Bombadil, all the gifts of Galadriel, and the restoration of the Shire at the end.
