My god this is an impressive speedrun. I hate tool-assisted bullshit, and this is just pure, unfettered talent. I can complete the game at 100% in 2 hours flat, but nothing I am capable of measures up to this gentleman's skills. The only part that bothers me is that a lot of rooms go skipped and certain suit and weapon upgrades are skipped. I know it's 100% but it just upsets my OCD with this game. I do it in 2 hours, but with 100% map coverage and every suit and weapon upgrade as well.

She only destroyed Zebes once, and that was in Super Metroid-- the explosion in the first game and Zero Mission only destroyed the Tourian base. SR-388 wasn't destroyed until Fusion, where Samus sends the B.S.L. on a collision course to it. Nothing on SR-388 was never even destroyed in Metroid II (Aside form the Metroids)-- it didn't have an explosion or anything.

While I do acknowledge that it is not impossible to obtain 100% on Hard Mode in under 2 hours... I do also acknowledge that it is impossible for ME to get 100% on Hard mode in under 2 hours. No amount of practice will ever change that for me. Some people are able to do it, and some aren't. I'm one of the people whom aren't capable of accomplishing this feat.

But I don't really care, because all I want, is to have fun with the game.

So I'll watch this for fun as well.

he didn't need it. though it's tough, you can beat the game without the Varia Suit. Once you get the "fully powered suit," you get Varia, too along with the gravity suit. It's not worth the extra two minutes If you're trying to speedrun this game.

When he picks up the Gravity Suit later in the game it automatically gives you the Varia Suit (when it becomes usable in the last bit of the game) and saves him the time he would have spent actually getting the Varia Suit.

Do the words "Speed Run" mean anything to you? Instead of waiting for the power up to appear, he ran off and did some other stuff, saving time, he can just hop through it when he has to return later, the charge beam will be waiting there.

He had only two missles because in Hard Mode, missle capacity goes up by two. They do this to make the game more of a challenge.

for the bomb jumping, it takes a while but when you get the right timing is easy as pie... but i still don't know how to do the grapple thing on the wall to climb up it without pwoergrip and even with powergrip I can't do it, it probably has nothing to do with powergrip but oh well, i still wanna know how he does it ^^

Well, being a bomb jumper i don't use this ability samus has. To do it, jump left against a wall then press right and jump one after the other. and vice versa for the right wall.

But not if you have all of the energy tanks. If you do, Mecha Ridley takes 18 Super Missiles to kill.
