@tambrosia whats there to mess up.. the queen does not REALLY rules you know. The government is headed by the prime minister. The queen acts only as symbolic head of state
May Queen Elizabeth II live to (and beyond) the point in which her youngest grandson (Viscount Severn - currently 3) will be old enough to join his three male first cousins (Prince William, Prince Harry, and Peter Phillips) in their own Vigil of the Princes in honor of their grandmother.
@TheUnknown285 That´s a possibility. If they choose the grandchildren to do it. They might choose her children to do it aswell. The four sons of George V did the vigil of the princes in front of his coffin. Q E II has only 3 sons so maybe there will be 3 princes and 1 princess in the vigil. Or maybe they choose the grandsons. Time will tell.
R.I.P. Tom Fleming. One of Scotland's greatest actors, writers and commentators. I especially enjoyed his commentary in the Edinburgh Military Tatoos during 40 years of broadcasting. Hwu Edwards is a wonderful successor to Mr. Fleming as he handled William and Kate's Royal Wedding. I happened to watch it on BBC America, by the way.
@MINDxWORM I imagine she thinks of her every day. I certainly will after my mum passes away. Hm, think I might go give her a hug and tell her I love her...
@samuelflower. I believe that was The Late Tom Welling...BBC announcer and also actor. His voice was beautiful to listen to even as he gave his own words at Princess Diana's funeral his voice was tranquil and amazing... and being an American I would have to agree with another Royal Wedding coming up I would prefer to watch it on a BBC network
I love this commentators voice. I heard him at Princess Diana's funeral and other royal occassions and he is just so dignified and so articulate! I hate listening to the other BBC commentators; they always seem unprofessional and joking around. And forget about the American broadcasts...Yuck! The Americans always get the names of the royals wrong and the places mispronounced! Awful!
Does anyone know his name? I admire him so much and I'm a young person! lol!
Irrespective of whether anyone is a monarchist/royalist this shows perfectly how we Brits lead the world in Pomp & Circumstance. The Queen Mother was admired & respected throught the world for her unfailing duty to her nation & it's people, beside her husband & latterly at her daughter's side.Personally,I'm not in any way 'loyal' to the crown but the QM was given a right royal send off.
I am sure that Elizabeth is watching the Diamond Jubilee of her daughter from Heaven.

If she's inherited her mother's longevity Queen Liz could be on the throne for another twenty years

The Queen Mother was a grand dame something we miss today.
Queen Elizabeth II, I believe now is the longest serving monarch.
Many say the monarchy needs to be abolished, I say bullocks.
Wish we had it here in America versus the man from Kenya who is such a fool who has messed up twice before Her Magesty.
Please Lord Save the QUEEN and get rid of Obammy!

Very moving, the Queen mother is missed, my father was on parade in Winnipeg and he still remembers seeing her. Long live Queen and the Commonwealth!

Prince Charles was very upset when The Queen Mum passed. I heard he broke down in tears during this vigil, but wasn't aired on tv.

I wonder if Queen Elizabeth II thought about her mother today during her grandsons wedding.
