  • iron man the game?

  • not bad, keep working!

  • Proportions are wrong.

  • Nice job.Could you post tutorial on how to make armor, I'v been struggling with it a lot, or at least could you show me which reference images you have been using?

  • hey nice vid. did you make the bg and all those cars too?

  • i dont find a video of the original can someone give me a link of that video

  • HI - nice modelling!!

I used to use Maya every day and have dug it out to make a video. I'm just at the stage where I'll be adding a large 'iron man style' character to it. - But I'm trying to go for a more cartoony look rather than realism. Good use of DOF and Glow! -Keep Going!!!!! Kev.

  • HOW doyou do that

  • aside from being too square, this is a great model. good work.

  • i Just Came in delight.

  • The helmet look so different from real one

  • its great...untill you see the helmet...which is wrong

  • This is awesome. Can you post a tutorial on how to make it?

  • So cool, but I'd give more detail to the face and helmet right?

  • Hey, this is awesome, I'm trying to make a model of iron man mark II in blinder for the first time and I'm trying to get a metallic armour texture like yours. I know you use maya but do you know how to get the same effect on blender or atleast a tutorial on how to do it? If not thank you anyways. (thumbs up)

  • @PivotMade This old version's (did you check the new one, BTW?) material was simply a pure white blinn type material with very low diffuse (practically zero) with very blurry reflections (this is what sells the effect the most, IMHO). In the new version I used Mentalray's mia material, which rocks, but is not available on Blender, as far as I know. Make sure you check the newer version of my suit, also here on YT ! Thanks

  • @InfoManiac Ok, thanks for the help, btw your videos are amazing [subscribed], I'll go see what I can do in blender or see if I can get maya or something.

  • nice!!!!

  • Hi everyone. I just wanna let you know that I've made newer, better versions of these scenes ! I can't post the link here, but just click the annotation on the video. Or better, access my channel here and check'em out. It's worth it. They're MUCH better !

  • WOAH THAT IS AWESOME!!!! u got some real talent!

  • i like this one better thn the other mark 3

  • OH MAN THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    You have talent, truly!

Could you please do a tutorial of how you made this? Modeling if anything, but the rigging as well if you can? I am trying to model an Iron Man style armor for a film I am making, and I am new to the 3d modeling softwares. VFX is great for me, but I REALLY want to learn CGI. Thanks and great job again!!

  • Extremely good for one person's work! Obviously, the movie version will be better, but this is ridiculously awesome. My suggestions would be to work on the helmet (it has more surfaces and color gradients than you gave it) and the overall coloring of the metal. Compared to the movie version, your rendering of the suit material was more chrome and less steel/titanium.

  • man i was just kidding i sayd its fake but i rated up :D

  • This is a 3d animation, correct?

  • This is awesome. Great modelling. And the material looks kick ass.

    Good work.

  • same costum with different color :S FAKE

  • I don't know why some people think this is fake. I didn't intend this to pose as a scene from the original movie. I was inspired by how good the FX were on Iron Man and I decided to "rebuild" that scene, as closely as I could at that time. Since I modeled the suit, I decided to render both versions. Why does that make it fake? Of course there are some issues here and there, as I'm only one person building the whole thing from scratch. Thanks for the kind words, everyone else

  • the head looks horrible

  • amazing

  • what do they mean by mark 1,2 and all?

  • The Mark I was Stark's first Iron Man suit, built by himself to escape from the cave of the 10 Rings. He built the Mark II as an major upgrade of the Mark I, better fitting, betetr weapons, material, details, and designed for longer flighs.

After his test flight with the Mark II, he got frozen, and used in the Mark III a special metal also used by sattelites. Titanium with a diamond layer I think it was. And he modifided some last things such as the color, and the Mark III was born :)

  • and then who is the yinsen guy in the beginnig?

  • Ho Yinsen was a very wise doctor in the arts of electro circuits and that kinds of things. He and Stark met before on a technology conference in Berlin, but Stark didn't reconized him when he met him again in the cave.

Note to myself: stop watching Iron Man over and over x)

  • I dont think it was a diamond layer in the armor. In the movie he told Jarvis to add the red color to the Mark III which was originally going to be gold. The gold alloy was to protect him against freezing in the atmosphere. I also believe the gold suit that was shown on the computer when he was doing this was like a referance to the second suit actually made in the original comics. It was the bulk gold instead of the bulk silver.

  • It was a gold titanium alloy... which is what they use for satellites. =)

  • Necessity is the mother of invention, that is what it means, a chronicle of work if you will.

Where is the heavy metal music to accompany this video?

  • lol is that some kind of literacy

  • I am not sure I know how to respond, I thought I was clear. Technology advances: you work out the kinks...you build something and call it something, build it again making it better and calling it something else, and so on. It is how humans create.

  • COOL!

  • dude he made this in a 3d rendering program you "wanker"

  • ahh no lol have a look at his other works.. all in same program and none of them anywhere near as good all amazing but this is actualy part of the movie i cheked sevral times.

  • if its part of the movie why is there no cars in the parkin lot in the movie there is cars in the parking lot

( and ps what is a wanker XD )

  • He replicated some of camera angles and animation, but it is NOT the CG from the movie.

  • no man he made it, check again its 3D modeling very good yes but the textures are off a bit u can see it

  • The textures are fine, it's the proportions that need some heavy tweaking. It is still by far, the best home brew CG of the suit I have seen yet.

  • Ya thats the point einsein.

  • dude r u fuking retarded

  • im recreating mark II +)

  • I like this. I like it alot. the only problem I have is with the face/posterior portion of the helmet, and the only thing I say you should work on is detail.

other than that, you did a damn good job!

  • i think that one looks cooler than the Mark 3

  • there's a suit like this in the movie.. even terrace howard says tht he would try another time.. (climax)

  • too bad Terrance Howard wont be in it. lol. also, thast the Mark 2, not War Machine, though I could understand if the Mark 2 was upgraded into the Heavy Weapons armor: War Machine within the film.

  • if you noticed at the credit part where they started playing the black sabbath's Iron man... there's a animation the war-machine, with a huge machine gun on the right shoulder...

  • could have been from the rejected concept art Ivan made. the dude who goes and makes the Iron man covers now got to make several suits of armor for the film.

    his War machine was rejected early in development, and he said that his model probably would not be the one you see in the sequel. ;_;

  • GREAT material, but you should really lower the shoulders.

  • you took da mark tree and painted it gray make different ones dude!!!!

  • is dis clip from the movie cuz when i saw it it was gold

  • i wish it would be longer

  • right after i watched this it was no longer available....

  • WOW nvm, very nice!

  • looks like the original...if it isnt the original...

  • it looks liek iron man but the helmet and feet dotn look liek real

  • this is straight from the movie...

  • no its not...read the description

  • oh my god!!!!

  • lol nvm forgot to read description *slaps self in head*

  • wow what'd you use to make this?

  • Holy shit that looks good

  • that was extremely good but i think if you wanted to look perfectly like iron man it could use some work

  • awesome man, it didn't even notice the difference between the real one and this one

  • Thank you very much...those are some great compliments. Thanks for all who commented and everything.

  • HolyCrap!!!

u could be a nice game designer dude!!

    ur awesome! :D

  • Unbelievably bad-ass.

  • Thank you very much !

  • You did this... yourself? o.O

    Wooooow....

  • Yep...all by myself. Thank you :)

  • Wow, you should do video games.

  • awesome keep up the good work
