  • Your a dickhead creationist fuck.

  • Professor Anton claimed that atheists were not bringing about change in the world. What kinds of "change" was he talking about? He did not specify this at all in his little video. His is going to let his deceptive vagueness be filled in by the audience.

  • Comment removed

  • Well refuted! I pretty much disagreed with 99.9 % of ProfAnton's points.

  • I totally share your frustration. I'm so glad I dont live in the US. Im inlondon, UK. But man, I also look around and just say to myself-this is it. This is who/what we're leaving the country to. Into these hands. These racists, biggots, hoodies dumb fucks, narcisists, etc. All these fuck-tards who model themselves on hoodlum examples. I mean, we live in a world where calling your loved one 'Bitch' is the norm and exalted manner.

Get me off this fucking rock! Take me to Pandora.

  • Thanks for the MP3s. I like listening to them when I'm out walking.

  • Gary needs to do a walk & talk in India.

  • Quantum mechanics is a very good topic to developed philosophy on.

  • You and I realize that these assholes(Politicians of the World) are the real thing: Psychopaths.

  • I remember you featuring that tree a lot in your videos circa January 2010 and had to order one for myself! It's so pretty, and not a bad deal for $80.

  • Christmas Tree song wins.

  • gary, good move shaving the mustache.

you don't want to be labeled the mustache pedo like christopher langan is

  • and yes not long ago i realized that i really am a cockroach too...and trying to keep it to the minimum too...thank you gary ... very good video ...merry christmas from germany!!!

  • well thats right for any fuckin sake and reason ... it s up on us to do the right thing

  • This video lifts the Chrismas spirit to new hights. xD

  • Gary, your point at 11:03 is so FUCKING DEAD ON. I have been saying that FOR YEARS, even before I discovered antinatalism.

  • It just prove you have an IQ of 40. I love it, this include most apes :)

  • I know they are so ignorant that they thing nothing can be settled. Doesn't it make you want to just scream?

  • "They care about all the wrong things"

    Hear hear

  • Awesome video...

  • DULL

  • Good message. Try and keep your Cockroachery to a minimum and enjoy Christmas!

  • ever tried telling a kid a fairy tale in the consistently cantankerous voice you choose to wield, are married and addicted to. I mean, i have an eye for disservice too but am i as bad as you?

... fuck yeah, .. i aint in the habit of telling fairy tales either .... the world is in the state it's in cause of the state people like us are in. I think we could get somewhere with the garden tool ideas though (smiley). Need some high walls to go with them. See if they can attract f's to greenery ....

  • Jesus is the MOST OVER RATED FICTIONAL CHARACTER!

  • Darwin Killed Jesus and Yahweh, We are ANIMALS! When you Die....thats it!

  • Humans are Compulsively TRIBAL & Compulsively TERRITORIAL~ Desmond Morris

That means we are NATURALLY PREJUDICE? And it all boils down to Territory! Patriotism is the Ultimate form of T&T. Its fucking Dangerous!

  • @Pablo113 Read my responses I've posted for TheGzeus. If we recognize the problem then we can fix ourselves either through education or physical augmentation or both.

Think about how many intelligent people who are other than possessing a flaw in eyesight wouldn't be able to be highly educated, articulate and contributing members of society if it weren't for the human augmentation of corrective lenses being invented?

So why couldn't emotional flaws be corrected or augmented?

  • @technatezin Because they're the very things that drive us and keep us alive.

  • @technatezin We can correct our own behaviors if we are aware of them. Most people are not aware of their behaviors. Sports, National Pride, all forms of Tribalism & Territorialism. And in my opinion it all boils down to TERRITORY. Take the Native Americans and the White Man. We called off the Indians and took their Territory.

  • @Pablo113 Yeah, I mean self-awareness and awareness of your surrounding is like so much work *sarcasm*.

You scrape your knee from falling off your bike and next time you know not to ride your bike too fast and stop abruptly. You learn something about yourself and you learn something about your environment.

  • @technatezin, Tell that to the Israelies and Palestinians, who are Two TRIBES fighting over TERRITORY!

  • @Pablo113 And the final root cause of that is?

There is actually land enough for everybody and resources in abundance for everybody, but again it's a matter of priority. Why cooperate in massive engineering projects to feed and house everybody when you can compete in massive engineering projects to develop rockets, jets, tanks and machine guns to shoot the shit out of each other.

The land is "sacred" to each tribe because their fucking sky daddy God said so.

    Religious poison again.

  • This was an excellent video BTW.

  • Or God gave Eve two apples and said: The apple in your left hand will give you intelligence, wisdom, empathy, compassion and allow humanity to live in harmony until the end of days. The apple in your right hand will also give you intelligence but of a different kind. It will make you greedy, conniving, viscous, selfish, hateful and cruel. You will enjoy luxury and comfort but only at the expense of every other human and species on the planet. Oh yes, and in the end it will kill ALL of you.

  • if you want to watch a movie you should watch the matrix, that move is deep shit and I'm not just talking about the skepitcal position it scares people with.

Your snappy and sticky trap made me laugh, yeah I'm the guy that lols at everything.

  • Hypocrisy is vice's tribute to virtue.

  • Shame Anton hasn't been able to shake off his childhood conditioning :-(

  • Why the attack on nihilism? As life has no intrinsic meaning or purpose, nor does the universe or existence itself, wouldn't nihilism be a truth? Nihilism isn't the completion of a true philosophy, but it must be a start at least. Socrates did say "I know that I know nothing", he wasn't a genius, but he most definitely wasn't a fool. Other than that, i agree with the argument. Anton's mind is in a place outside of reality, where anything that can be imagined is possible; i.e. he's delusional.

  • @enfomy having "no intrinsic meaning or purpose" does not mean it has not acquired value components ...the generation of feelings creates value ...As for Socrates not knowing nothing; we know a lot more about our physical reality now ...and should apply that knowledge in a rational response to the fact of DNA borg-ism.

  • @inmendham Are you telling me that the universe or existence should value life more than anything else, more than space, time, energy etc? Or that a chemical reaction that we call "feeling" is the most important aspect of existence/universe? Does one feeling have more value than another? Explain "value components". You're right we should apply knowledge to our universal circumstance, in which DNA is just another factor. I wouldn't go as far as putting all the blame on a molecule tho.

  • @enfomy "The universe" should value? Who cares? Point is- humans and feeling sentient creatures exist. Once a kernel of feeling existed, or an "ouch" could be produced, there was value. Why do you need some entity in space for validation? It's real to feeling creatures, it's value to sentient life and that is good enough. If I slowly dismember you, we do not need any outside validation that that is a negative, at least for you.Sentience faces constant deprivation and pain states, this matters.

  • @IndifferentSky Then the people who take advantage of others are justified and rational, because they are using their knowledge and circumstances to obtain what they perceive as valuable, since value lays solely in being sentient or able to feel. Another manifestation of solipsism and egoism. Should i value the word "feeling" more than any other word. Your "ouch" is just another part to the whole we call existence/universe or whatever you wanna call this thing we experience.

  • @inmendham How did you disseminate your ideas before the Internet, or even communicate these things to people. I doubt the average person would be interested in what you have to say (no offense).

  • Not all, but some of these people think we should rape and kill and steal if there is no god. WTF is that. I don't need some fairry tale to tell me not to hurt another human being. And even though I'm not veg. i think we should treat animals better. Not to fuck over my fellow man.

  • So, what's "justice" for a homicidal maniac that butchers an entire family and stuff them in the freezer? Kill him? That solves the immediate problem with the physical elimination of the individual mass murderer, but what happens when another one comes around and does the same thing?

  • Thanks. I enjoyed this.

  • oh come on religion aint so bad a little mental slavery inducing behavior through scare tactics never hurt anybody.

besides churches pass out gifts to poor people to suck them in.

  • You have a Christmas tree?? YOU?

  • every now and again you say all the right things - I noticed it's when it come to the topic of human rights, equality and justice

  • Oh hell....don't get me started on the catholic church. :-(

They can torch the vatican on my account. :-)

  • TRUE

  • Ofcourse there's life after death. Silly to think that everyone on the planet will disappear just because one person dies.

  • the metaphore imo means human beings were not ready for choice ,if i'm correct god especially forebode them to "eat the apple of knowledge" for he knew we would fuck up big time..

  • Life after death? What on Earth is this supposed 'professor' talking about? Does he think that we can still have sense and perception after the biological mechanism that facilitates it is destroyed? Good grief we might as well consider life before birth, equally preposterous.

  • @BiodegradeableMan YOU think I believe in life after death? WTF? Why talk about someone when you literally have no idea what you're talking about?

  • @Professoranton You have referenced cosmic mysteries on numerous occasions my friend. You have waxed lyrical about ghosts haunting themselves. It sounds very much like you believe in the supernatural and by extension the possibility of sentience devoid of any physical medium. I know exactly what I'm talking about; it’s your linguistic gymnastics that leave me nonplussed.

  • @BiodegradeableMan Believe what you want, and may you always leave up these silly comments, for you reveal how misinformed you are.

  • @Professoranton Misinformed about life after death? Who said you have no sense of humour?

  • i remember when they had those big christmas light bulbs that would get rediculously hot . its a wonder that more homes didnt go up in flames with those things.

  • 2 planets 1 cup LOL

  • At age23 (strong christian believer) I was diagnosed with a brain tumor (acoustic tumor) lost my hearing and facial nerve on right side and went through 12 painful surgeries but the worst was to come like hellish depression and anxiety attacks. My life changed forever.Today (age37) single, no kids and the biggest antinatalist on this unflushed toilet earth.I have hope to see in my lifetime a 9mile wide asteroid hit earth. No more blood and tears,no more horror show.

  • @secularbeast sorry.. and such..

  • @secularbeast Sorry to hear about your condition. Unfortunately, the cosmic game is rigged for life. Asteroid collisions produces the heat and energy necessary for mix up to primordial soup of bacteria and algae. From then on, you just have to wait about a few billion years and you're back to sentient beings and pain and suffering and joy and happiness and everything else that sentient beings experience. "Ending it all" in a suicidal, genocidal orgy of destruction is premature.

  • @technatezin Interesting point, very good but I think the possibility of that is slim.I guess I should think "runaway planet" instead of asteroid. lol

  • @secularbeast If the asteroid had enough energy to either shatter the planet or knock it off orbit so it flies either into the sun where everything gets incinerated or into deep space where just about everything eventually freezes into a solid icy block then yeah. Your scenario of total destruction of all sentient life on THIS planet comes true.

  • @technatezin Doubt it. The sun would be dead or at least massively expanded in those "few billion years", thus not facilitating complex life here.

  • @technatezin that's nonsense. For as far as we can see there are not ripe conditions for life, and you're forgetting all the other conditions that have to be right, positioning of rocks, planets, sun, etc. And billions of years without suffering, then the start of some stirring, then a billion more until full sentients appear? That is a huge win, to suggest otherwise is to have no sense of the problem or time. All those preconditions had to be just so and without too much this or that to start.

  • @technatezin If you're going to pull up this tired argument, at least use some real science.

    "BOOM ALGAE! EVERY TIME!"

    No.

Amino acids were produced when the earth formed. That's all we have any evidence of, and how life arose from that is still unknown.

  • @TheGzeus Parallel processes. Look into it. Evolution isn't a straight line march, but a trillion tiny crooked lines smashing into each other which coincidentally result in something that's somewhat functional. Our present form of amino acids could be just only one in a literally a million other types of combinations that could result in life. I never said "optimal" life, but just life.

Water + energy + time in habitable zone of star = possibility of life.

  • @technatezin I've looked into it.

Every collision in the LHC has the theoretical possibility of producing the Higgs-Boson, but in millions of millions of collisions there have been a handful of _possibly_ positive results.

    Possible != likely.

Talking about any other form of life is jumping straight into the realm of Star Trek, and I refuse to go into something that pointless.

  • @TheGzeus Besides, what Gary is complaining about has more to do with PRESENT human culture and socio-economics than "life".

Are things bad now or are they worse 500 years ago?

Is the body of intellectual understanding about physical reality and psychology greater in amount now or were we more enlightened and knowledgeable 500 years ago?

In a brief span of time that is literally miniscule compared to geologic time we've gained so much to alleviate suffering and increase contentment

  • @technatezin It's what he's saying specifically in this video, for the most part.

He states at least once that life itself is a disgusting pointless blah blah blah.

Your little romp into middle school history is cute, but what does that have to do with _solving_ the problem?

    No band-aids.

    A _solution_.

  • @TheGzeus Who said there has to be a solution? Is there a "solution" to an ant colony somewhere? Giant intelligent humans consider ants to be pests so we incinerate them or poison them as a solution from our perspective. From the ant's perspective an inexplicable external force suddenly rained fire onto them.

Emotionally obsessing for either utopia or total destruction is a pointless and futile activity. Because we evolved a strong desire for self-preservation life will carry on.....

  • @technatezin ...

Did you think you were watching another video? Have you seen _any_ of Gary's videos from the past _4 years_?

Solution to an ant colony: stop the females from being fertilised. Done. Over. Win.

  • @TheGzeus I know the plan. How is it going to implemented successfully?

And how are some suicidal/genocidal maniac going to pull it off without being detected and killed or restrained by those who object?

Why all the negativity? There is no "solution" to life, so get over it and stop trying to find a solution to a non-problem.

Quick, what's the solution to green or tasting sweet with your tongue? If anti-natalists were to have their way they'll blind and tongue amputate everyone.

  • @technatezin Nay-saying. Unhelpful and pointless.

"Not giving birth" isn't even close to "genocide".

Giving up on solving a problem is negative, not looking for a solution. Saying that liver cancer is a non-problem doesn't make it so.

Those are irrelevancies. Are you saying that sentient experience is an irrelevancy?

If antinatalists had our way no one would give birth. That's all.

  • @TheGzeus Sure, but it's truly non-coercive then it would have to be volunteered as such by people who agree to it as the most rational and logical solution would it not? How are you going to convince them that it is the most rational and logical solution?

Some irrationally negative people wishing group suicide might want to help the world along in that option whether the world's population agree to it or not and hence the always present danger of deliberate intentional genocide.

  • @technatezin No one's mentioned group suicide, and the rest of this is sophistry.

  • @TheGzeus Again, why the negativity? There is simply no technical fixes for life's problems? Compare us for example to dogs who have no concept of the passage of time and a limited sense of "self". Put a mirror in front of a dog and see if it reacts to it as recognizing a reflection of itself. No, we are more than simple limited animals and we can overcome our problems and find technical solutions to them. All problems have technical and psychological fixes.

  • @technatezin Nay-saying is negativity. Working to solve a problem is not.

So there are retards and non-retards. Has nothing to do with the fundamental nature of biological life. Totally irrelevant.

  • @TheGzeus Besides, as I said before even if you do manage to pull off an extinction level event in a deliberate intentional way, how long before life manages to emerge from basic elements again. Why for example are trilobites extinct and humans are alive? ELEs have happened again and again, but the hardiness of life in a waterborne planet just refuses to give up. Would it be better if we're non-sentient trilobites that could be fried in asteroid collisions without even knowing about it

  • @technatezin Nay saying. Not productive.

  • @TheGzeus This is a serious question.

Given that ELEs have happened repeatedly in Earth's history and given that there's no guarantee that it wouldn't happen again during human's reign on Earth, what makes you think think that other than being knocked into the sun or deep space or knocked to pieces another lifeform next time maybe even worse than us could evolve. Perhaps insectoid cannibals incapable of empathy that eat their weakest members to preserve hive fitness could evolve?

  • @technatezin Old-hat, silly.

"Why save someone from murder? Someone else is going to be murdered anyway!"

Silly, and not even a good argument, because the problem here has _not_ been shown to be common.

  • @TheGzeus "Are you saying that sentient experience is an irrelevancy?"

That's precisely what I'm saying. Life is NOT relevant and is only meaningful to the the extent that any single individual values life. Both life for himself and life for others.

Some homicidal mania that chops up an entire family could potentially be the most sentient and intelligent person in the city who view his victims as inferior ants to be toyed with and crushed. Sentience is NO guarantee of ANY relevancy.

  • @technatezin Nihilism. Ludicrous.

  • @TheGzeus (cont.) Of course we also being sentient self-preserving animals find the sentience of a homicidal maniac unacceptable and we either isolate the violent offender or physically eliminate him.

Is the act of locking away the murderer relevant? Only to us and only because we value life as self-preserving animals. Other than that find the relevance of the fungus growing on your foot or the flu virus that attaches to your body making you sick. Relevance? What's the point? Futile.

  • @technatezin More nihilism.

  • @TheGzeus (cont.) More on the relevancy and irrelevancy of "sentience" and life.

    youtube[dot]com / watch?v=wrYXbvdiuOg

Human beings are stimulus responding and environment changing self preserving organisms. Nothing more. There is no relevancy to life.

Skip to 3:00 of the video clip and listen carefully. Those who give up on life or are not able to adapt to a particular environment are no longer here. No purpose in either life or extinction (non-life) whatsoever.

  • @technatezin I'm not bothering with anything someone who makes such nonsensical arguments would find relevant, because you can't discern between sense and nonsense. Waste of time.

  • @TheGzeus I can discern sense from nonsense. I'm just saying that "making sense" and applying logic are ONLY tools that people have invented because it conforms to the order of the universe.

The universe makes sense in that it is orderly and applying logic allows us to find that order even in seeming chaos, but whoever said that it is suppose to be "moral" or "ethical"?

Animals that are "unethical" and have absolutely no sense of logic can still live in an orderly universe.

  • @technatezin sophistry. This says mothing meaningful.

  • @TheGzeus (cont.) I CAN be murderous thug, but I simply choose not to be under current circumstances because it doesn't benefit me nor does it give me any emotional satisfaction to kill anybody. Both from my own personal reasons and the external threat of getting caught and facing the consequences the act of murder is seen as not an option. Ethics is simply the act of weight benefits vs. harm in any action. Do you think an omnipotent God would be ethical when he faces NO harm/threats?

  • @TheGzeus The problem with antinatalists is that they are the opposite of suicidal religious fanatics that are willing the kill themselves and take out everybody else in their vicinity in a literally explosive act of violence all for their wish to go to meet their God

Dying in a suicide blast or dying in a drug induced overdose resulting in permanent sleep makes no difference in the grand scheme of the universe. If you're altruistic you might as well donate your body to medical science

  • @technatezin ah, a pragmitic nihilist.

    Still a nihilist.

  • @TheGzeus And what's wrong with being a pragmatic nihilist?

The whole grand universe itself is both pragmatic to the species and members within a species it favors for survival and utterly meaningless at the same time.

In an utterly meaningless universe devoid of God(s) giving you any kind of divine purpose for existence pragmatic nihilism is the most logical and rational policy to adopt.

  • @technatezin what on earth have you been smoking?

Why do you keep talking about murder and suicide? Are you making a strawman argument, or just completely mad? No one mentioned these things. They're so far off topic that I doubt you've ever bothered to look for a reasonable definition of antinatalism, and that's just lazy.

  • @TheGzeus You have said nothing practical or meaningful against technatezin. You're pure emotional appeal, prejudice language, and false dilemmas. Your solution to our current circumstance is that we simply halt our existence through the cessation of reproducing. How will you get those who do not understand why(such as animals and plants) to support you? By imposing your will on them? How are you better than any of the people you chide? Your opinion holds no weight.

  • @enfomy Not one emotional appeal in there.

"Prejudice language"? What on earth are you talking about?

"false dilemmas" Do you mean metaphors? Metaphors are things that are made up, often.

You don't try to teach a severely mentally disabled person how to drive a car. You put him on the bus, headed where you know he needs to go. Plants are irrelevant I've laid out a basic idea of how one would deal with animals.

I have no respect for anarchists, (the logical conclusion of your complaints)

  • @TheGzeus You want all life to cease & become nothing, yet you attack nihilism? That is nonsense. I doubt you truly understand the current situation we are in. I would love to here some of the legislation you would implement to achieve your goal. What policies are you going to employ to prevent chaos after telling people reproduction is no longer an option, considering the insanity of the mob? I'm all for controlled reproduction, because everyone wont agree with utter destruction.

  • @enfomy You're assuming some kind of magical minority rule, which is silly.

People don't get voted into office by a minority of the population. The people make law, ultimately.

As to the nihilism stuff, you don't know what the words you're using mean, otherwise you wouldn't be saying such nonsensical things. Just look the meanings up, contemplate them, and move on.

  • @TheGzeus "Why do you keep talking about murder and suicide?"

Because murder and suicide are serious topics. They are in fact the ultimate solution to life's problems if you live in a culture that glorifies the individual and upholds individual liberty and initiative as the most sacred principle in that society.

Now, if we're talking about a different culture and society that values collaboration and cooperative action in achieving goals then I can talk about different options.

  • @TheGzeus More accurately, I'm a transhumanist pragmatic nihilist.

    1. I don't believe humans in our current form will be able to survive to become a spacefaring species or even get off this puny, insignificant rock. Humans are inherently flawed.

    2. Pragmatism in any situation is the most rational policy to adopt if you want to survive because the flexible survive. The rigid and inflexible faces extinction.

    3. The universe is meaningless, so life itself is also meaningless.

  • @TheGzeus (cont.) Go ahead and challenge this if you have the intellectual courage to do so. It makes a lot more sense than antinatalism.

  • @TheGzeus Now if you're asking if there is a solution from an entirely objective and scientific perspective then yes there is a candidate for replacement of our currently unsustainable and insane social and economic system that is based on desire tickets (money) exchanged in legally approved trading arrangements in which each mutually distrusting party seeks to gain a monetary advantage over the other guy.

It's called a resource based economy as advocated by Venus Project.

  • @technatezin JESUS CHRIST just make a video! Don't type a (poor) term paper in the comments!

  • @TheGzeus How long it takes to get there and whether or not we arrive at that point in which the majority of people on this planet rejects our current system of monopoly game playing and politics as usual in favor of unbiased and objective scientific management of resources is altogether another question.

We could simply destroy ourselves from our many superstitious and emotional flaws like irrational national passions and a desire to escape into mystical/religious fanaticism.

  • @TheGzeus (cont.) Think about it.

I can play dramatic church choir music about "God's divine plan" or direct an emotional tear jerking, heart rending movie about the sacrifice of "war heroes" and get people to genuinely hate an entire group of people on the other side of the planet enough to incinerate them in massive numbers without even personally knowing them.

Now, these are what I call emotional and superstitious flaws.

  • @technatezin What the hell??

    Strawman.

  • @TheGzeus (cont.) Knowing our flaws and admitting to them is the first step toward a remedy for them. Nobody is superhuman and admitting how flawed and limited we really are in our current human form is the first step to transforming ourselves into something better. In short, the lifespan of our present dangerously crude, unrefined and unaugmented human species is limited and the clock is ticking...

If we do survive it is in my opinion that we accomplish it as an entirely new species.

  • @technatezin And why should people slave, suffer, and die for your (rather silly) cause?

  • @technatezin To all the comments you left after... whenever:

    tl;dr

    Make a video.

  • @secularbeast Can't say I've suffered the misfortunes you have, but I'd also be pleased if that asteroid hit the planet.

  • @secularbeast

People do not even seem to consider these possibilities when they evaluate life. I personally do not go through anything even close to what you did/do and even I can see the worthlessness and the waste of this life game. Wish you the best.

  • @secularbeast Not at all your situation, but what you said reminds me of a monologue from my favorite anime. "'Please,' 'I believe in you,' 'I love you.' If I said that, would you do it son? But... unfortunately, I have never loved you. Ever since you were born I have envied you for taking Yui's love for yourself.Your mother was my salvation...my support... my hope. I was crawling around in darkness without knowing how to love or be loved, when Yui came to me like a Light from God.

  • @secularbeast (continued) "But that light... was taken away in an instant. I cursed God and wondered... if he was going to take her away, why did he give her to me? Always giving, and then taking away... and why? Is it punishment for mankind's sins? Shinji; everything in this world exists to be taken away. The human race itself will disappear in the Third Impact (a climactic event in the story)...

  • @secularbeast (final)"When the curtain comes down on human history,as supreme commander of Nerv,I am charged with atonement to God.But I don't want to atone to God; I want revenge on him.Son...I don't want to be reborn as a child of God...I want to become God myself...so that I never lose anything again. I think right now you understand how I feel. Shinji... Go to Unit-01 immediately. There is no hope for this world. If you hate the world as I do... then become an avenger with me."

  • @secularbeast Anyway, that's that. I hope no one regards it as spam. I was going to say something in response to your statement, but despite the fact that I can't sympathize, thinking back to this father character got me thinking that you and I have radically different vantage points on this world. And knowing how the character was written around his situation, his thoughts were completely justified. If the world doesn't end, I hope you can find some kind of closure. Peace.

  • @secularbeast

    hear/here ¥a.

    √√

  • @secularbeast What makes you think medical technologies of the future wouldn't be able to fix your problem?

Poor eyesight use to be a problem until it no was a problem.

The history of human progress is following of these simple repeatable steps:

    problem -> investigation -> testing -> solution.

Again, wishing mass extinction is premature.

It's a horror show only because people make it a horror show.

  • @technatezin It's premature? What horrors have come before this. We are no closer to applying cures to people without money, we have an unethical system. But the main thrust is that we live as beings that not only are subjected to horrible painful deterioration while we yet live, but that even in the best of times are are need deprivations machines. We chase desires and satisfy needs and suffer. This is why it takes forever to get anything done, and once it's done it's for the rich only.

  • @abutnotantisocial "and that current pain and suffering is worth the wait?" - the other way round, obviously :)

  • @technatezin It's a horror show only because people like you keep the show going.

We'd like an end to it.

  • @sWeepingsAnd How is it the fault of altruistic innovators that people suffer in pain? There are modern techniques of pain alleviation. Extremely powerful drugs can all, but block out pain

People choose NOT to listen, learn, invent, discover, think and collaborate that's all. People instead choose to escape their dull mundane lives through living the surrogate life of "glamorous" T.V. soap opera stars and sports athletes

Why invest so much mental concentration in fictional lives?

  • @technatezin What innovations have you completed?

A better way to inject heroin? A gun that kills 10 people instead of 1 with one shot?

What altruistic deeds have you completed?

You a gave a kid some candy and you think that makes up for the molestation?

You're clearly a person who is choosing not to do anything of value.

You might as well watch TV soaps instead of attempting to spread your perversions on youtube.

  • @sWeepingsAnd "What altruistic deeds have you completed?"

More than most people you would ever know in your lifetime.

  • @technatezin And yet, you're unable to name even one of them.

    Go figure, right?

  • @sWeepingsAnd Wow, you are such a weak-willed cunt who's so deeply embarrassed with themselves that you have to put down others.

Get over finding "meaning" in life already and try to get a grip on yourself. There are libraries, bookstores and the internet. How many more resources and wellsprings of knowledge do you want?

Life is NOT perfect and never will be. Humans are flawed. Get the fuck over it.

  • @technatezin Humans are flawed.

Get rid of the cause of the flaw, life.

Get over it, you've been bested, you have no arguments to defend this slaughterhouse.

  • @sWeepingsAnd (cont.) Social problems are not going to fixed anytime soon and with dead weight people like you around it will be a LONG time before it even gets a tiny bit better.

  • @technatezin Which is why extinction is the most rational and efficient choice.

  • @sWeepingsAnd Your problem is that you're a monotheistic doomsday religious nut, but don't even have the courage to admit it.

Every monotheistic religion has some blood curdling doomsday "prophecy" in the the damn burn in hell and the right and "virtuous" get to spend eternity playing harp and singing praises to their perfect God.

Antinatalists then by definition are closet religious dominionists who wishes for the final endtime battle of "good" vs."evil".

  • @technatezin How's that?

Antinatalists want to end life once and for all.

You want this horror show to go on for eternity, so perverts like you can keep popping in and cause more mayhem.

Pronatalists are by definition religious, as they find the mere idea of questioning life obscene, bowing to the great DNA.

  • @technatezin ''Every monotheistic religion has some blood curdling doomsday "prophecy" in the the damn burn in hell and the right and "virtuous" get to spend eternity playing harp and singing praises to their perfect God.''

There are no harps to play and psalms to sing when everybody's dead. Absence of sentience is merely a welcome state of affairs in relation to the presence of sentience when contemplated by a rational and compassionate sentient being. You do the rejoicing about life, not ANs.

  • @DerivedEnergy Yep, and in a few billion years life will emerge again either in this star system or in another.

The sentient life of biped humans only appeared as "recent" as 300,000 years ago in Africa according to carbon dating of fossils and artifacts.

Before that there was the reign of the Mammoths and Dinosaurs. Were they sentient?

Would it be better to have been ripped to shreds by a non-sentient T. Rex than to be gunned down by a violent gangster? The pain is real.

  • @DerivedEnergy I don't rejoice in life nor do I condemn it as eternal suffering that cannot be remedied or eliminated altogether.

Go ahead and suicide if you think it would help. It won't.

    Why?

    1. I would feel so bad in the process of dying to know I died as caused by the majority of people on this planet who are unworthy of my death.

    2. Nobody in this trivial consumerist culture will miss you. They will go back to T.V. or video games.

    3. Only your particular personality dies.

  • @technatezin Who's talking about SUICIDE here? I am simply advocating ANTI-NATALISM. ANTI-NATALISM attaches a negative value judgement towards PROCREATION. You can't even stay on topic.

  • @DerivedEnergy Even if you really are talking about anti-natalism there are 2 kinds of anti-natalism. Pos. anti-natalism and Neg. anti-natalism.

    You advocate not procreating because?

The world is horrible and we have no hope of fixing it, so let's all be selfish assholes and enjoy it while it lasts?

    OR

I'm too busy fixing the world at the moment so when it does get better then it will be a good place to have children, so that they can both enjoy it and continue improving it?

  • @DerivedEnergy Even if the differences could be slight it really does matter.

In one case you are a hopeless pessimist that sees the world as inhabited by human society as doomed to failure and beyond repair. This is unrealistic and not many people will agree with you

In another case you're putting off procreating until you improve the situation and are also hoping that the world becomes a better place because of your efforts and the efforts of your postponed future descendants

  • @sWeepingsAnd (cont.) Sorry to break it to you, but rapture is never going to come you closet religious nut. Life will continue whether you like it or not.

If you want to get rid of "flawed" life then start by shooting carnivores in the forest and see how far that would get you before you're overwhelmed by a massive population of dumb sickly herbivores.

  • @technatezin The extinction of life on planet earth is inevitable.

It's only a matter of when and how; not if.

Sorry to break it to you religious sadists, but this freak show it's going to keep going for you perverts.

  • @secularbeast is that true? I mean, not that I personally do not believe in you. I don´t even know who you are, but... is that true? Because your personal story is an argument in itself. I´m sorry about all the pain.

  • @sorensofos Yes it's true! but I understand your question. That's the tip of the iceberg. In 1998,New Haven CT. had a 5.7cm acoustic neuroma removed.Surgeries like cranial plasty, muscle graft, nerve graft, lumbar shunt(total of 12) I went through.Prozac and Klonopin helped me from not ending my life.I battle poisonous thoughts almost every day that arrive uninvited but I think I'm doing good today. That made me an atheist/antinatalist and I was a "Jesus Freak" before knowing the meaning of pain.

  • Happy Hypocritemas to one and all!
