  • Beautiful pictures. A very spiritual music. Thank you for so many of God's beauty.

  • @9:00 -end; Absolutely divine music.

  • the music is lovely and ethereal, but the message is overlaid w/ too many traditions that partially hide the central message to us all: repent of our sinfulness and ask Christ to forgive our sins, once for all time (as explained in Hebrews), knowing that He will keep His promises and save us from our just punishments. our good works do NOT get us to heaven. too many orthodox think they can just go to church and give their offerings and all will be well w/ their souls. then they go off & act bad.

  • Most beautiful music i have ever heard

  • @Demarco009

do you think God gives a rip what denomination you are? that was the folly of the jews and it's the error of catholics today.

  • @slukky Its not about denomination, its about what those denominations teach. If you do not teach the message of God correctly, then you are wrong.

  • True faith is our eternal bound. We should welcome back other Christians into our church but should NEVER make any compromises or stray from original Holy Apostolic Orthodox Church and make some kind of mergers with Vatican.

  • @SerbNegroMonte The Church should definately been reconciled. The Church was started as one and it is wrong that we have let petty differences divide the Church, and distract us from the real objective; loving God.

  • @willz3141 The differences are not petty. If they were petty, there would never have been a schism.

  • Christ is Risen!

  • So much beautiful!

  • Hristos a Inviat !!!

  • @hartmanalen Adevarat a inviat!

  • Voices of angels, earth and heaven alike. Beautiful. I cannot wait to convert to Orthodoxy and hear this in liturgy.

  • mesmerizing

  • just want to say where are the Georgian Orthodox Christian chants? the nation who withstood two monster Muslim states for 1500 years -Turkey and Iran- in the battle of religions?!?!

  • @Lado1677 Ill look to add Georgian & Arabic chants to an updated version of this when I get a chance.

  • @PneumaticFire u forgot armenian orthodox chants :D

  • Idk whats wrong with me...but i can not watch and hear Japanese ? English ? Chant ? That is tooo i would funny to me..however im glad that many people are going to convert into Orthodox

  • As an Eastern Orthodox Christian, I humbly ask that all criticizim of the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches be ceased, this pains me to tears, we are at an impass of full communion again. Please stop all of the bickering. There is no Eastern Orthodox Christ or an Oriental Orthodox Christ Just the King of Kings, The Prince Of Peace, OUR GOD! AMEN! Orthodoxy wherevery it may be for ever!

  • @pjotrvl Orthodox Christianity is the Church of Holy Scripture and teachings of Apostles: the Lord in His Word warns about destroying life (at any time) which is murder, and in Romans Chapter One the Holy Spirit warns against the destruction which "they will receive to themselves" if homosexuals practice their perversion. These are warnings that we will destroy ourselves through sin - not just "mean" or "strict" teachings to be hard on us. Christ Jesus loves us more than we love

    ourselves.

  • Long live Orthodoxy

  • Whilst Roman Catholicism goes with the times, Orthodoxy is timeless. Tradition has had it kept from being diluted. Peace Profound.

  • @Bla31n True , but soon enough you will only find the true orthodox faithful living In caves while the mainstream orthodox churches throughout the world will merge with the fallacy of catholicism and eventually merge Into the one satanic church that will worship the dark one.

  • @reprovo The church is ONE. Believe me, the Orthodox church will not split. If the merge of the two churches does happen, we will not change at all. It is the Catholic Church that would revert back to the true faith. And Orthodoxy is anything but mainstream, dont worry, the true church cannot be tainted. Remember, the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!

  • @5692Nate21 Of course the gates of hell will not prevail but the true Orthodox will be very few. It's already started , all Orthodox leaders are no longer Orthodox.

  • @reprovo U have any examples? I believe the church is doing well in bad times.

  • I'm a Coptic Orthodox and proud to be of the Orthodox Faith

    Long Live Orthodoxy Amen

  • @imustpreachu; Coptic Orthodoxy is a Church that isn't in communion with the Eastern Orthodox Church. For, your Christological position in respect to Christs attributes are completely different, and therefore heretical. Whilst also your doctrine in relation to the Holy Trinity is wholly different than that of it's normative understanding within contemporary theology.

I pray that you return to the true Orthodox Church, for this is Gods will.

  • So you have accused me with heretical point of view on Christ but yet didn't mention what is the right Christological Position and you also said that we had difference in The Holy Trinity Doctrine but also didn't mention what is the right Doctrine!!!

so Do you think your prayer is accepted when you go around Judging others with out telling them the truth or at least the right way or what you thing is the right way??

I Recommend to take this discussion to by email if you would like. than

  • @imustpreachu The Coptic church believes Christ had "2 souls" a God soul and a human soul. The Orthodox church says he had 1 soul both 100% God and 100% man, its very confusing. However you can read about this on google, i believe there even was a miracle involved in the discovery of this doctrine.

  • Orthodoxy was originated by Jesus Christ him self.

  • I am literally breathless.

There's nothing more traditional that the Christian Orthodox church.

  • Slava Bogu na visini

  • absolutely beautiful. I'm learning to chant right now, and it is not as easy as they make it sound! Christ is in our midst.

  • God bless His Holy Church and keep her away from heresy!

  • you shuld do more videos

  • Beautiful. The more I hear of Orthoodoxy in its music, the more I love it. I can't wait until I am received into the Church at last.

  • This fills me, whereas other music leaves me feeling empty. The photos and the chanting are so beautiful.

    Praise be to God.

  • The first was indeed English, while the second was in Old-Slavic, (note the Serbian sound, and the slight resemblance to Modern Czech). The third and fifth were in Greek, but by no means could I count for the forth. Sounded Russian. Beautiful nonetheless!

  • why is it that orthodox priests seem to me to always have beards in pictures? i mean this question in the best possible way

  • @casiosdio

It's simply customary, especially in traditionaly orthodox countries, like Greece or Russia. In Poland, where only 1/40 of the population is of the Correct Faith there are less bearded priests, the same goes for Czech Republik and Slovakia.

On another note, the chant in Churchslavonic is sung in the uncharacteristical, Greek melody instead of Russian, I'm guessing it's sung by Bulgarians or Serbians? Probably Serbians, since the pronounciacion is harder.

  • @casiosdio :

In the western churches (following the Roman Catholic custom) priests are shaved so as "to resemble the humility of servants (slaves) who the Roman Law obliged to remain shaved"

In the eastern churches (following the byzantine custom) priests carry beards - and sometimes long hair - as a sign of mourning for Christ's sacrifice and also as a reminder that earthly matters are of negligible importance

  • I'd like to express my undying admiration for the Orthodox liturgical hymns, although i am catholic i have a deep respect for the orthodox church as well, and i pray for the christians in the middle east and muslim world in general who r suffering from persecution...

    Long live Christ,

May unity prevail amongst the members of his church, each and everyone of them in their own rites Orthodox or Catholics

  • @pjotrvl Orthodoxy doesn't incriminate the sinner becouse the sinner can be forgiven but blame the sinn becouse the sinn is the weapon of the devil . God bless you...

  • Divna, divine and sublime as always!

  • Excellent chants!

  • why has no one answered my question

  • @ramonwebber It is actually difficult to tell which language they sing in, but I think it is indeed in English.

  • @ramonwebber The first HYMN is in English, set to Byzantine music, (not heard it done this way before - NICE!) and is the second part of the Cherubic Hymn, which is sung during the liturgy. It follows the taking of the gifts through the people collecting their prayers up into the sancturary. These are the words...

    "For we are to receive the, receive the King of ALL, Invisible;

Invisibly escorted by the Angelic Host. Alleluia! Alleluia!"

  • Are you sure that the first chant is in english

  • @ramonwebber The second chant sounds to be in Salvonic (Russian) and sounds to be the Hymn to The Mother of God, the Theotokos. "More honourable than the Cherubim and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, who without corruption bore God The Word, Truly MOther of God, Thee we magnify"

The third is the Greek chanting of the Hymn of The Resurrection, "Christ is Risen from the dead, trampling down death by death and upon those in the tombs bestowing life!"

  • @katherine3486 it's Divna Ljubojevic, Serbian (Dostoyno Yest). the language is ancient - Slavic (staroslavyanski). :)

  • are you sure the first one is in english

  • @ramonwebber Not sure about the fourth but it's sung in greek,

and the fifth, greek and again not sure of the words!

    Hope this helps -

Love to ALL. Katerina , English Convert to Orthodoxy since 1996 X X X
