to make things more confusing, there is a New Philadelphia, PA nowhere near Philadelphia.

seriously, i got a brownstone i sweep up out front every 2 days, while finding wrappers from some mcdonalds that's ten blocks away. i swear folks in my town believe using a trash can is bad luck or something.

Not one bit surprising. I used to live in West Philly when I was a kid, but we moved out to the suburbs some 35 years ago. When I went back there for a visit about a month or so ago I hardy recognized the place.
