If anyone has Kleiber's 2nd movement I would be eternally grateful. I have listened to many conductors' takes - his is the most emotionally true rendition of the 8th.

I think 1:20 should be heavier and more lagato, really bring out the moment... maybe that's just how I played it, but I do like that effect. Seemed really rushed and didn't get the attention it deserved in this rendition. loved both parts tho. I love listening to different renditions of this song. This seems more frantic, harried than most.

Quel être mystérieux ce SCHUBERT; n'aurait il écrit que cette oeuvre ,elle lui donne la postérité; mais FRANZ a écrit tant d'oeuvres au sommet de la beauté; il ressemble à une fontaine intarissable d'où coule une musique belle ,limpide,d'un lyrisme inégalé; et toutes ces oeuvres sublimes en si peu de temps terrestres.

Je connais  ce qui est écrit sur sa tombe et ne suis pas en tout d'accord: ce qu'il a écrit est achevé et ce qu'il n'a pas pu écrire nous manque......pour l'éternité.

@543693The C'est un très heureux étonnement Marie ... J'adore Schubert et sa musique si raffinée, si "ciselée" et Carlos Kleiber était un chef de légende ... Si tu fais un tour dans les playlist de ma chaîne, il y a "les chefs" ... Musique et poésie sont soeurs .
