Yeah, I love that place, right down the street from the Airstream park we belong to. Haven't had the cider though, must try it on our next visit! Thanks for the comment bchina!

I live in Florida and my wife and I try to get up to Helen, Ga every couple years, and that stand/market where you guys are at is my first stop everytime we go there. The big wood-fire kettle is awesome, those pnuts go great with the peach cider they sell at that same store!

Sucking them out of the shell like that means you are consuming extra salt. (as opposed to picking them out of the shell, and leaving the juice behind)

Good thing too. I've seen idiots on here eating the whole thing and then wondering why they taste so bad? Eating a boiled peanut with the shell still on is like biting into an unpeeled orange... Bleh!
They are very addicting though,. =D

lol..that's my 'house band', DejaBluegrass band. I use them as the background music for some of the other vids I have. they played my wedding, and are just a great bunch of people playing good music.
Just made my first batch of boiled peanuts the other day in a crock pot! Use 1 cup of salt to 1 gallon of water,put a bunch (I didn't measure it) and cover with water so they float a little. After about 8 hours on high, or when they start sinking to the bottom, they are ready!
