This Video is Amazing! although i do not using reason. im a ableton live user. i have been working non stop for 2 days trying to get this sound out of Massive and Sylenth and im very close but i find my synths are not as "mean" they are more of a 8bit bleep with a low Sine wave behind them i've tried eq'ing them distorting with omhicide and boosting the threshold through compression but i can quite get this mean gritty bleep. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I've been having trouble with musical inspiration lately, but when you played in Spokane last Friday, I realized that dubstep isn't my thing production-wise. Every song you played totally got me going and I think I'll be making my way into house/electro now, thanks to you!
These tutorials will definitely help. :D Thanks for being an awesome producer/DJ, Lucky!
@silverprank press TAB. then route the output from thor to the eq then the same way to the comp. or the other way. depends how you want it. an easier way is to right click the thor and go to "create" then you can choose what you want from there. when you click on for ex. a comp. it will be autorouted via thor that way.
yo, luckydate. what do you think about having the key sync on on lfo1???? i love ur vids man, you've been teaching me how to make sum dope synths!!!!!
@luckydatevideos hey uh do you ever pay attention to the clipping of your songs in reason? cuz i do and i always turn down the sounds to make them not clip. but then its really quiet over all. do you pay attention to the clipping?
Lucky Date, you're unreal, man! Sick tutorial. Love it when you take the time to show little asides like the reverb, different LFO waveforms, using the decay to make wobbles, etc. Super versatile synth. Would you ever consider making a piano tutorial? I love dub and electro that has breakdowns of moving piano chords. Only problem is that the Reason stock pianos on there own don't cut it. Looking for something more full and emotional to get that epic section before the big drop. Cheers, man!
Learn what copyright is before you go around making claims like then. Next thing YOU will be the one in jail for copyright for being so ignorant. Unless you have a DVD in the shop teaching people how to make this and he copied it pretty much word for word you have no case. YOU HAVE NO CASE! LuckyDate is the man now gtfo!!!
Your filter envelope isn't doing shit. You don't need to do anything with it or with the env amount on the filter. You just need to make sure that your filter cutoff is up all the way.
Hey ive been told that its really easy to make a horn sound but i cant figure it out. Do you think you could make a tutorial on it? the sound on talking about is in "Mental Hospital, by Point.Blank"
it would be nice and easier for us viewer if.. you maybe could make a link of the patch you created, so you just could download it. I really appreciate the synths and tutorial, they're great as always!
@shamrockman100 its called reason 6 and no its not free but if you cant afford to pay for it then search for 'reason 5' on isohunt and you can download it there for free. reason 5 is still really, really good. pretty much the same thing as 6
@luckydatevideos dude even if you did use someones tutorial at least you are understanding enough to fucking remake it grab interest of folks who trust your tutorials because obviously you have Talent. I made this earlier on massive, but in understand why you use reason now all the time, because it takes too much goddamn time to fucking do all the automation "you do" on ableton or massive. FUCK YOU'RE LAZY! :3
@hurensohnadolf Leave my dude luckydate alone. Why you gotta be a hater when an artist with a record deal and who goes on tour still takes the time to make tutorials for youtube, Luckydate is my inspiration for my music making and i hope to follow in his non-copyright infringed footsteps
@hurensohnadolf Well, aren't you the cool guy! Why don't you go listen to your super duper cool "underground" music! Luckydate is such a faggot for being a solid producer, who books tours and sells out venues! Wowza!
@optimusrhymee Your intellect is too low to even understand that my statement was the excact opposite. I listen to underground and mainstream, but I'm an anti-elitist when it comes to underground because honestly, most of it is produced very shitty and short-lifed. And that's exactly what I think of the kind of productions that come from luckydate. It's just a fluke that only works for narrow-minded people who tend to dress up like the people that make the music you guys like.
i did the same thing but it sounds diffrent, is there a difference between that reason that takes half of the screen and that one that takes the full screen like yours? or can you change it? im pretty confused right now :(
@2theothers2 i dont think so.. just get reason. you will be mad at yourself for holding yourself back with fl but it will be ok in the end because u upgraded. lol
@2theothers2 FL is a great program, don't let others tell you otherwise.... I am a Reason user myself, but it does not (out of the box) allow as much "freedom" as other programs such as Ableton or even FL. Just make sure to get the proper plug ins of course. NI offers some of the best around. Just do some research and you won't be disappointed with FL.
I've learned so much from your tutorials! thanks so much for sharing your musical ability with us so we have the chance to make decent music with a busy schedule!
@johncbradley1 Negative means as the LFO increases in amount the pitch goes down instead of up. basically as the slope goes down the pitch goes from a lower pitch up to the original pitch of the note you're playing. :)
@Brandflugan well your suggestion requires a legit producer to go out and buy reason just for this task.. not for everyones budget.. thats how hard it could be...
@djtyme2008 And you want a Reason user that upload tutorials for his application to go buy another application that suits you? Only cause your lack of knowledge? He clearly show you how to do it with a subtractive syntesis so I don't see why you can't do it in your own application that even has the VST-support.
That's the synth from Doctor P - Watch Out
