  • This is a British Lions song, sum of the lyrics are the same and the choruses

  • hahaha

  • I don't get the people who go to concerts and just stand there

  • I saw the CJ's in Houston at Fitzgerald's ~'85. Keith M. kept bitchin' about the 'fans' getting up on stage. I yelled at them- calling them Commercial Jerks because they would quit playing until everybody got off the stage and 'behaved'. The whole crowd started calling them 'Commercial Jerks' then! KM got all pissy and started cursing at me and my buddies, Jim McG and Jeff S. It was pretty funny!

  • WILD!...........in the streets

  • @madpeanutdisease feel like shit :/ that guy went on to be bludgeoned to death by hammer.

  • did they play after the butthole surfers in this video?? just cuz of all the scanned roaches n the floor lol

  • Saw The Circle Jerks 3 times in the 80's. Golden Shower Tour, Wonderful Tour and IV tour. Keith broke his back and was in a back brace for one of those shows. Still, just standing there, he was awesome. Great band to see live.

  • Great Footage.

  • Thank keith for OFF!!

  • now thats punk rock!!!

  • punks not dead it still lives listen to the Sons of Bitches Firebaugh punk

if you like punk look for it !!!!!!!!!!!

  • don't say "circa" what are you fucks historians?!?

  • Here's someone who's still rocking just the same now as he was then. If you haven't seen OFF! it's like the second coming of the Circle Jerks, just as good, and Keith still has the same energy and attitude.

  • @Skankwire damn right he does. im glad you have heard of OFF! not many people have yet, thats rad!

  • @marcosthrashcastillo Yeah, saw them live at Reggie's in Chicago this summer, they tore the place up, and it was good to see many other young punk fans as well as older generations in the crowd.

  • @Skankwire maybe its coming back man! shit ya!

  • ya know whats sweet is OFF!

  • @r2bkdeuse not too this shiity music. i looked it up because a buddy of mine said he listens to a band called circle jerks and germs

  • @twista200317 Bitch, please!

  • @azza0965779 You are a total fail! You kids have too much estrogen in your blood. This was back when punks knew how to have fun.

  • Comment removed

  • @moldyantics666

    Fuck Nostalgia !

  • @moldyantics666 "You kids have too much estrogen in your blood" - I just can't believe somebody finally said it! I'm saying this for years now! :)

  • @moldyantics666 dam straight brother!!

  • @moldyantics666 damn straight. you can still listen to the music while running around and hitting people its called multi tasking

  • @moldyantics666 Oh, fuck off. You know who the majority of OFF show-goers are (judging by what I saw myself at an OFF show)? Young punks. We're prevalent now as you were back then. Don't be one of those old cranks telling us younger generation we're wrong or can't listen to certain things because we weren't there. Come on, man. Every generation can enjoy punk.

  • @azza0965779 This aint American Idol fag

  • @azza0965779 obviously you know absolutely nothing about punk.

  • @azza0965779 Keith Morris could kick your ass without even touching you. Hows that for a FAIL?

  • WILD!

  • PURE FUCKING HARDCORE!!!!!

  • Saw Keith in OFF back in march and he still as fucking wild as he is in this video.

  • @mvdragon91 Yepp! Just with less hair on his head, but that doesn't matter

  • At least there were no sexy girls in the audience to ruin the ambience....

  • mmm, yes, not the best version (i.e. sound), but for sure a great voice ... one of the few bands that I can say sounds just as good live as they do on record.

  • @thenewmusicnetwork - since this is a cover of a song recorded in 1977 by a guy from Brooklyn (Garland Jeffreys), I doubt there are any HB references in the song whatsoever, let alone the Wolfpac.

  • Terrible version. I love Circle Jerks, but Keith was and is such a pretentious performer. Dude, just sing the song, will ya?! Are you being lazy or just too cool for school? I was there in the 80's so please don't anyone get into a street-cred argument. This is just bad.

  • SUCH A GREAT VOICE!

  • My first ever concert was Black Flag w/ Sacarrin Trust. The second was Circle Jerks w/ The Minutemen. Circa 1983

  • @Thorpe741 you lucky asshole

  • @Thorpe741 man thats awesome!!!two shows that i like too see soooo much!

  • @Thorpe741 you are a lucky man

  • @Thorpe741 black flag kind of blows though like i respect wha tthey were trying to do but you got to admit henry rollins is kind of a dick and theyre music wasnt that great

  • pure solid power...

  • no shit. what happened to the attitude?

packaged and sold out with green day.

GG Allin died for your sins.

  • @prickyinsult GG Allin was like the god of the god of the god of punk...i named my dog after him and i had a puppy and i named it Iggy Pop hasha

  • "wolves, have to choose, play with the boys-- bound to lose, bottle in one hand, chain in the others, don't mess around theyre real mean mothers."

    that's about the HB wolfpac.

  • I'm 16 and wish i was there sometimes. When punk was in it's peak, now who ever thinks their punk is a fucking law abiding sellout fuck.

  • Man, that's some real Punk !

Btw, does somebody know the name of the song they play after Wild In The Streets ?

A pity that they cut it off.

  • Miss the REAL PUNK days

  • I saw them in 1988 with 7 Seconds it was pretty crazy.

  • I'm not trying to take anything away from the out and out righteousness of this video but something is weird about the editing. It looks to me like the band playing during the "slam-dance" "stage-dive" scenes are obviously not the Circle Jerks but the Dead Kennedys!!!!!!!Anybody else see that? Maybe it was Peter Ivers fuckin' with people!!!

  • @HugoMasekela You're right. It's clearly Klaus Flouride and Jello Biafra. Kinda strange.

  • @ifutureman shit didnt notcie till about 2:12

  • One of the first shows I ever saw. Circle Jerks, 7 Seconds, Youth Brigade, and SNFU. Fuckin Epic!

  • dude @0:65...broke his neck for a Circle Jerks conert

  • i guess 10 people are MILD in the streets

  • I remember seeing them tear shit up @ the L.A. Street Scenes back in the early 80's! It turned into a full fledge riot! They were chanting "Fuck the police!" And as usual the L.A.P.D. only knew how to talk with their bully clubs! Classic!

  • keith morris is a legend.

  • this IS turrifying! WILD!

  • 64 valiant handful of valiums couple of beers really do me right

  • Lol everyones on stage and jumping off, and back on,and jumpin off..

  • Had a chance to see them in the nineties but couldnt get tickets. I did however get the to see Dead Kennedys back in the day, It does seem like yesterday. You cant find music like this anymore.

  • Always luved this tune man......Greg's haircut is pure 80's! ☺

  • haha keith looks like hez just chillin

  • lol keith looks like john lennon

  • dude greg hetson looks wierd, no offense to greg hetson

  • Comment removed

  • never getz old

  • They had such fucking energy... wish I was born back then... Well, i can't change it, so crying about doesen't make any sense. As long I can listen to this sick shit, I'll be happy... Well, LIVE FAST DIE YOUNG, mates!

  • @KillTheConqueror

i dont understand why we just sit back and accept that people dont make music like the way we want instead of making it ourselves

  • dat haircut

  • Emos em geral..devolvam nossas roupas caralho..Wilddd in the streets

  • Saw them at some dive in 1986, but X was my fave back in the day. Love the Jerks, but they did not compare to X.

  • WILD!!!

  • These guys used to fill in at the olympic every time the Angelic Upstarts got their entry to the U.S. declined.

  • vocals seem a bit loud, eh?

  • I NEVER missed New Wave Theater.

  • I saw them at the Antenna Club in Memphis back in 1983, those were the good ole days! Everyone who had played at CBGB's would then come to Memphis & play at our underground punk club. So many great bands, the joint always smelled like old beer & had cockroaches in it, so funny, it was byob, whiskey, pot, good ole daze!!

  • 1:26 HEINEKEN HEEE

  • ...a bottle in one hand

a can in the other... WILD!!

  • perfect!!!!!!!!!!

  • wtf does that guy show the camera at the end?

  • looks like a bag of weed

  • Ok, I saw this segment on NWT when it first aired and I seem to remember Keith Morris taking a swing at the host in the last sec before it cuts out.

  • damn he s drunk!

  • I like his hair.

  • Hahaha same here 94 such a shitty year to be born !

  • @Noizpunk138 yeah i was 94 too sucks.

  • @Noizpunk138 ha i was born in 94. i don't give a fuck what ppl think, i'm just gonna play the music i love most and hopefully punk will rise from the dead.

  • @Noizpunk138 haha yarp sounds terrible, 92's just a lil better ,but seriously anyone born after 95 I really feel sorry for haha

  • @Noizpunk138 try 96....

  • old school is the shit ! 80's ruled .

  • Looks like fun.

  • He don't need none. That's Keith "Mutha F%#kin'" Morris.

  • Man he's totally there. I don't get your comment.

  • I think he means that Keith Morris looks like any regualr joe at the time. He doesnt stand out like most other singers.

He has more of a "stage presence" later on with his dread locks and what not i guess.

  • what a bullcrap keith has since black flag a great stage presents.

what does it matter what his hair looks like just great lyrics with a message and a fast drumset with fast acourds. u don´t need more to beat the shit up

  • keith morris is more an icon today than ever..

  • Huh?

  • WILD!!! ...in the streets

  • @mandopunk07 SGV Loners!

  • @mandopunk07 yeah, man! I wish I was born around that time. Unfortunatly I was born in '96. I spread the word though with my friends hahaa

  • Great hair Kieth Morris!

  • It's strange to have Punk/Hardcore bands in a show called "New Wave Theater".

  • Good God, can't you fix the volume?! This song is a classic with the band performing it at their peak. I would have placed it in my "Favorites" if not for the weak sound.

  • Then turn your volume up? It's not hard.

  • support underground garage/punk

    dumbspace/chumleyband

  • my friend busted his ankle at a pogues gig, we dragged him out the danger zone then enjoyed the rest of the gig + stopped off at the hospital on the way home...

  • circle jerks legends saw them in vegas a couple months ago they still kick ass

  • Keith was a much better choice of frontman 4 Black Flag although Henry was great on Damaged-2 great Hard Core punk bands from that era kids

  • fuck u there is no such thing a new wave!!! fuck that

  • New Wave Theater was absolutely never on Mtv.

  • actually in the old days if you fell in the pit you'd get stomped, and if you came to a show with long hair you got picked on, these days the crowed is cooler but the bands suck.

  • "in the old days if you fell in the pit you'd get stomped" um. only in the movies you watched, pal.

  • No, it's true. My friend fell in the pit..She dislocated her ankle. LOL.

  • "actually in the old days if you fell in the pit you'd get stomped, and if you came to a show with long hair you got picked on, these days the crowed is cooler but the bands suck."

    True.

  • marlon brando started the leather jacket thing.try again .

  • Damn, I miss the old days!

  • before dumb people found punk rock. pre gang, pre uniform.. see any leathers or mohawks?

even tho the pits were rowdy, people would help you up.

    and now?

  • This is awesome. But also, the Ramones started the who leather jacket thing way before the circle jerks were around. But I do agree that now adays its stupid how people try to make there be a certian image to punk rock.

  • This song also brings to mind the awesome "chase" scene in the movie Thrashin! All of their early albums are freakin' great.

  • Holy shit! Peter Ivar. Funny to think this was a weekly show on MTV.

  • Aw, young Keith. Would love to see more from this show.

  • this was an excellent copy of this song....Circle Jerks were fucking great!
