@Sandiesage Its not rollkur!!!!!!!!! Sorry but it really annoys me when people have no idea what rollkur is! Look it up! People comment on my videos saying its rollkur, i am sorry but horses dip behind the vertical now and again and for 99% of the time this horse is on the vertical not behind. Rollkur is when the head is pulled in right behind the vertical, this is not rollkur. Rollkur is cruel so don't wrongly accuse people of being cruel to their horses, it annoys them trust me :P

I love horses. He is the mountain top of beautiful. He is just like a iron statue. Truly majestic and noble in all ways. I used to say Arabians were my favs. But its been quite a few years now that Friesians have caught my eye and took my breathe away. ( Arabians are great in their ways to. They are quite small, pretty to look at, fleet, and sure of foot, which they indeed needed in the dessert.

What a stunning creature!  I am looking at a Freis to buy right now, and they are great, but reality does strike. Can you tell me your thoughts on temperment? Any health issues? I have been around horsed pretty much my entire life, but not full time. I have worked with thouroughbreds, I have experience, but am no expert. My uncle always had horses, but he was more into polo. Had a great string. Not what I want though. I am no novice, but no expert either. Do you think I could handle a Fries?

the mane is in his eyes, wouldn't he prefer it out or his eyes? Because when he is at liberty he holds his head up and his hair parts but when ridden in vertical position it doesn't. It is his mane that catches the attention of the onlooker. Giant barby dole ....beautiful.

So stunning, you are very lucky! Friesians are by far my favorite breed. I have a question for you, how do you keep his mane and tail so long? I used to take lessons at a local stable and there were a few people with Friesians, they always talked about how their manes would be very "brittle" and break easily. Do you braid it when you put him up or use a special shampoo?

I am one of the unlucky people that love horses but never had the chance to get involved with anything horse related. I am completely illitarate when it comes to horses, and i know very few things.Of all the breeds i've seen Friesian, is one my favourites. I've been looking at pictures and videos of those breeds and this one is stunning. I couldn't stop watching the video. And the music fits him so much. You are a very lucky person for having such a companion.

@geminiagr Volunteer at a horse rescue. Most of them don't require any experience, you'll learn tons and help deserving horses at the same time!

There is no reason for you to no learn more or even be involved with horses! If under the age of 18 then you have the internet, drawing horses, collecting figurines, reading & watching movies. You can ask your family to plan a vacation for instance to the Kentucky Horse Park for a starter. If you are an adult the world is yours! Even if you have a family with children you can teach them the gift of volunteering! You can volunteer at a rescue barn & learn tons! Good Luck!

Unfortunately , even though I am an adult, I live in Athens, Greece and the closest horse ranch is at least one and a half hour away drive and we do not own a car. Further more I am unnemployed for a few years now and riding is extremely expensive here. Plus I'm quite a "large" woman and I don't think I am able to ride even casually (it would have been cruel to the horse if i rode it :P ) Blabby me will continue below :)

@franchesdun As a child I've been collecting my little ponies - still have 150 of them- and i was lucky to have a friend back then who used to ride and took me along. But I could only watch as my parents could not afford riding lessons. Now I'm still collecting figurines, paintings , posters, downloading pics, and generally everything that depicts a horse.

I did volunteer in the athens olympic and paralympic games 2004 , in equestrian, and I think it was the best thing i ever did in my life

@geminiagr There is nothing stopping you from getting involved with horses. I was the same as you, but I turned 50 and thought I would fulfill a dream. I contacted a local stable and asked if I could volunteer. Long story short, he taught me everything I now know, I ride and own my own horse. It's never too late. Pick up the phone.

@gilliangirl1 As I said above,my basic problem is that there is no "local" stable.I need to buy a car(wich I can't afford and can't drive-horrible driver)and spend at least 100 euros a week on Gas,plus all the money i need to spend on keeping the car "healthy",taxes and insurances when i'm currently unnemployed. Or I can use public transportation, wich means 3 busses and at least 3 hours on the road just to get to the closest equestrian center/stable, and 3 hours to return home.

@gilliangirl1 I will be moving to a smaller city, to live with my fiance. But we need to find a place to rent first , and get myself a job. Once this happens I'm planning on working on my driving skills and eventually get a car. Once that happens and our finances allow it, I am planning to check in stables and equestrian centers there to see what I can do to get involved with horses. However that will take a while, but hopefully sometime in the future I will make my dream come true.
