The meaning of the song could be another man took Lisa's hand away from the man that the woman is singing the song to ... or ... it could be that the hand of God took Lisa away and a very pure love still exists, and the person singing the song is trying to comfort. Either way, it's a very beautiful and touching song.

I don't know what it is about this song but I never forgot it. It stays in my head & I always somehow start humming it. I love it! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
