These classic cars were built to last, if he wants to have a little fun in the snow its not going to hurt the car. It's better doing this than sitting and never getting driven.
HEY LOOK! THE BEAST IS OUT OF HIBERNATION!! haha! I own a Mark IV myself, and a Mark VII. Owned a Mark III, IV, V, VI, VII and every towncar prior to 90 down to the 65 suicide doors, homie!! My Dad was a collector of over 300 and I had MANY hand-me-downs!
i hate you thats so cool your the so lucky!!!!!! love the car. oh, and dont forget to not waste your tires and gas now :P who cares when ur having fun!!!!!!!!! congrats!!
I love it when people have the balls to put their RWD cars to the floor instead of babying them for their entire lives. Besides with the looks of how easily and lazily it swung around you probably didn't even bother the suspension.
im gona try this in my 1985 oldsmobile delta 88 royal brougham L.S. and im getting a 1978 lincon town car for free this summer from my grandmothers neibor hell yeah im gona try this :D
if thats so then why don't i see videos of cadillacs and buicks and mercurys doin the same stuff? yet i look up "muddin" and an army of videos of trucks and stuff like that are doin it? my point being: nice classy car vs. less classy vehicle (with v8). seriously, honestly. "DON'T DO DAT".(famous quote by arnold schwarzenegger)
DUDE! these cars were the greatest and classiest ever built and here you are treating it like a junker! i dont care how much rust or engine trouble or whatever it has! treat these cars with respect! if its this kinda stuff you're into then get a pickup or better yet a deuce and a half. but dont treat these cars like this.
I used to do donuts in the empty snowy parking lot of a local grocrey store. Looked like gandma and grandpa had lost their minds. Imagine seeing a huge black 77 Town Coupe with tinted windows, it looked like the vehicle from the movie "The Car".
mark v's are cheap right now... it makes more sense to drive one down to the ground (if it has rust issues etc, then to totally fix it up)...when you can spend 4-5k for a really nice one
I have a '79 with the 400ci in her and I average just under 10 mpg and I think its running kinda rich. Haven't had time to check it, but I can't wait til winter to do some of these lol
I remember doing such shenanigans in the high school parking lot with my 77 town car in the winter of 1989. All my buddies called me "Donut King". LOL thanks for the memories!
@1967CoupeDeVille and its easy to control vs some of todays things. yeah cars were huge, but once oyu got used to them they were easy i had a 77 towncar as well
@janosleng73 i did the same in the winter of 10' with my 77 LTD... i was also the best at donuts... :D this year i left the donuts to my 82 Marquis.. which i must add handles SO much worse in the snow.. did i mention im 18 and hate ricers... LOL
Crappy milage=fun car. I protest to driving a classic in this conditions; but I love MY Mark V. The BEST tank I ever got was in the regoin of 15mpg-HIGHWAY.
@bigcarguy69 Sir, how does doing this justify a, "what a waste of a good classic car!!!" from you? This doesn't harm the car in the slightest, unless you consider wearing the tires a bit harm. I guess if he were to crash then it would be a waste, but this is just good fun.
@bigcarguy69 Hey at least It's not converted into a low rider! I would way rather see someone have fun with a car, then to make it look like a clown car.
its funny i have 3 mark V's i live in MB canada WORST cars ever for snow. they are heavy and the ford diff in the back may as well have one wheel drive, try that and dry pavement and ill give ya some credit:P......poor car if your gonna do that to it sell it and buy a few crap cars
That's how the Scandinavians learn to control cars and why they are so good racers.

You're welcome! Thank YOU for appreciating such shenanigans! Doing burnouts and making donuts with V8 powered RWD cars is what I like doing most.

I so agree. FWD cars are not nearly as fun for doing donuts and burnouts. I do shitters all the time in the snow with my Mark V and Mark lll.
