@BlankPicketSign Well, isnt it sort of? I sadly dont have citations, but there are surveys out there which have said that a majority of aid money goes to paying corrupt officials. The most famous example was the Congo Crisis. Post Rwandan Genocide, we sent money to Hutu refugees leaving that country for the Congo. Turns out almost all the money was siphoned off to the people who carried out the genocide of the Tutsis. Its a very common problem, and I for one am subsidising no official.

I tithe every week 10% of my income to my church. The church in turn tells me exactly where my money is going. Women's shelters, impoverished countries, food kitchens, disaster relief, etc. My issue is when the government takes my money, there's no telling where it will go. Sure it might go to the guy who just needs that little bit to get back on his feet. But then it might go to the guy who sells drugs under the table and makes more money than i do.

I like this story, I can't remember if I've watched already. Would Jesus be a democroat or a reupblican? Well, I think the obvious answer is neither or independent but if he were to chose to be honest I think he would be a Democrat over a republican though he wouldn't like the power grabbing by either.

@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL As I said before, libertarianism is an ideal, and a good one to have but if you truly believed in the land of opportunity you would see this blatant exploitation, this inequality and understand if only through social empathy that things need to change. We are all in some a victim of circumstance in some way. In this sense yes I believe every 'shit' life is a mistake that should be rectified. Look up 'social empathy' and you may understand.

Ill informed people may argue that companies will simply outsource themselves to other countries were exploitation is easier but the market is still in America. So many Americans are so obsessed with the notion of the land of the free but all that really means is deregulation, of markets which simply enables exploitation of the masses, the rich get richer the poor get poorer.

@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL My answer is to not over simplify complex political opinions through labeling. Freedom is an ideal. In short terms, political and social attitudes need to be completely changed within America and this can only be achieved trough better education and health service. The rich should be taxed more, they make their money through the exploitation of the American public among others and therefore should be responsible for it in some way. You believe the richest work the hardest?

@TeaPartyPhilosophy A libertarian is naive, blind or simply doesn't care. It's a great ideal to strive for, but the world is a very complex, diverse, but most importantly, unfair place. I imagine you live a quite comfortable life? It isn't because your amazing, or god loves you it's because of outside influences. The same that can diminish anothers chance at a comfortable life. The government should strive to control them. All 'evil' comes from the exploitation of the many. It's capitalism.
