Seemed like they were making valid points. This is the Republican platform, fuck the poor give everything to the rich and deregulate everything. It doesn't work and the only people that benefit are the rich, even the stupid uneducated working class Republicans get screwed by the GOP.
if he didnt have a bullhorn he probably would have been assaulted! like i was! tea party suffers from aluminum poisoning! get mad about monsanto, if your food was good and you ate healthy would you care about health care!
I wouldn't be surprised if this was neocon poser's acting as the tea party. Tax work not wealth? They definitely contradict what the founders( Ron Paul n supporters) of the tea party believe. I used to hate repubs and so called conservatives til I found a real one. I voted for Obama too because he said he would repeal the patriot act which he extended. Most dems and pubs in office n Bush/Cheney n co. are fascists by definition. Enough to make the US grow toward fascism under both parties.
Shouldn't we always refer to them as "banana Republicans," not Republicans?
Who else but "banana Republicans" could support unlimited executive power, family dynasties (Duvaliers, Bushes), secret renditions to torture chambers, mercenary armies, 100-year wars, warrantless wiretaps, McCarthyite witch hunts, and the end of habeas corpus?
You'd have to want to live in a banana republic.
Forget the elephant, Republicans, here comes the chaquita!
@MultiNobody3 BAHAHAHA So on one hand the entire Tea Party is accusing Obama of being a socialist and then you come here accusing him of being a fascist. Please tell me you are not THAT stupid. Very typical actually lol :p
Rich mans war, poor mans fight. If you agree with what these people are doing i have the deepest bit of pity for you. The people who are tea partying are there for a more deeper and meaningful reason then you could possible conprehend with all the wisdom you can muster with in yourselves. your just a puppet who can see the ends of your line and still you go on with your passive ways not curagous enough to take a stand for what you believe in.
No, in fact most Tea-baggers don't have insurance either. The fact that they're so angry and misguided could only be explained by hours and hours of AM radio.
Also move on type morons? I am sorry but the group protesting was Billionares For Bush they have been around a while and have no affiliation with the right wing democraps at Move On and the guy singing is a long time D.C. activist who I believe is a green not a democrat and is funded by corporate shills or anyone really he has been doing this stuff for years upon years well before move on even took their first shit. You, need to seriously get on the meds before you post such idiocy!
Huh? How can a party of morons be invaded by morons? I was there and I have never seen so many morons in one space. People whining about paying taxes to Obama as if they didn't pay taxes under bush or clinton or reagan or bush 1. Plus the Paultards still complaining about how we destroyed Ron in the last hellection. Not too mention the other racist morons who frequent these events. Or those whining about socialism when we Obama is clearly "Bush light" and nobody was calling Dubya a socialist!
The oral sex jokes on CNN and particularly MSNBC on teabagging by the dozens.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the White House was "amused" by the tea parties, but that "nobody out there is making $250,000 a year" as if that were somehow relevant.
President Obama said "completely unaware" of the tea party protests. How can it be that the president could be "unaware" of a grass-roots protest movement of this size and scope? Doesn't he have a TV?
Still I find them more bearable than those idiots who think that a tax increase equals fascism, totalitarianism or tyranny.
As from a former totalitarian country I find the nomenclature of Beck&Co deeply disturbing (in an Orwellian way), what will they say when confronted with the real thing? Or about people in other countries confronted with that? If you are against the welfare state why not state it like that? Why does it have to be "tyranny"?
I agree, a tax increase is not fascism. Income Tax itself is simply un-American.
If people are upset about taxes, they should be questioning the IRS establishment, not the Obama administration. For almost a century, Americans have been working until April for the IRS, and its 100% unconstitutional.
The UCC (which I believe was implemented by FDR) changed this country. I'm not against it myself, but it surprises me how clueless most Americans are when it comes to our history & constitution.
What's the UCC? And how can the US really be "changed" by just one man?
Anyway, I don't know if income tax is un-American, but I find it frightening when accusations of "fascism" or "tyranny" are tossed around when it is merely about questions of how (or if at all) to collect or spend certain public funds in a democratic republic, this demagogy can have serious negative effects on the future of constitutional government, how will we recognize real tyranny?

Yeah, this is a sustainable situation, with over 40 percent of Americans (not even counting the illegals) having no tax liability to the federal government. I guess they're OK with those folks getting something for nothing, but godforbid we let people keep what they earn...
@foxinn Ummm even illegals pay taxes. It's not like they have their own SS that they don't pay taxes to. They just don't collect a refund at the end of the year, and they pay state taxes on their property and things bought.... That argument is outdated. I do agree in many areas but you bring up an irrelevant thing that doesn't make sense.
i know this is going to sound like it's just snark, but i'm being completely sincere when i say that this is what happens when you and your friends think you'd make a great improv sketch comedy group, but lack the self-esteem and courage to really pursue that goal, afraid to sacrifice their innocence for art.

What a laugh that these people get described as "morons".
It's obvious to any but the lowest intelligence that they are doing this with tongue in cheek.
The tea partiers themselves, on the other hand, are every bit as ridiculous - but THEY MEAN IT!

Are they chanting "tax work, not wealth" ??
These guys should read the entire constitution, not just the 1st amendment.
Corporate profit can be taxed according to US common law. Wages are ones property, not ones profit, and therefore cannot be taxed.
