Whoa, no gas cap! Whoa, you can see Ford's logo! Thank you Ford for inventing such clever things and for killing the Freestyle, replacing it with this overweight ugly box.
Love the review (and the car). I have the 2010 Eco-Boost model (with mini-fridge). Doesn't have the park assist but the back up camera is almost as good... just not as much fun. I'm getting a consistent 9L/100km on the highway. Looking forward to driving it in the snow this winter as we really didn't have any here in Vancouver last year. Good point about the rims. The 20" rims don't like potholes. Thanks again.

@InUrGirlPockets I burned JPG photos to a CD. Inserted the disc into the drive. touching the default photo on the screen should bring up the options for adding your photos. Note that you can't have one large photo filling the whole screen (AFAIK)... just two smaller ones at any one time. I'm going to take some of my photos and save them as a left and right half so I can then display them both at the same time creating a larger overall photo.
I have a 2010 limited flex as well without the ecoboost and the cooler option, but I love it just the same! I wanted to thank you as well, because I didn't know you can put pictures on the stereo screen, I'm going to do that now...ENJOY1
@rsxzx6r I used that size space to show the option. The vehicle only requires 1.2 times it's length to work. We could not film that in the city as there is too much traffic and film permits necessary. I think the main point is ..how well it works and how fast it does it.
Fantastic review! Finally a quality review from an actual owner, not some editor from a magazine. Not having been a Ford guy growing up I can honestly say I am very excited to order ours this spring. Just out of curiosity, what kind of gas mileage you getting? I did test drive an eco-boost but not nearly enough to get an accurate assessment of what it would be. Thanks again for the review. Cheers
I am averaging around 26 mpg. It goes up and down if you drive the car hard ...the ecoboost motor is amazing and is really fun to drive hard. If you just set the cruise control you might get a little more. I have put 25 k on the car now and I still LOVE IT!!!
The car seems like a great value, but that gps/stereo/heater control/ flux capacitor seems a little tedious; I like conventional knobs or buttons on seperate controls.
I've been researching the Flex Ecoboost for a while now, maybe we're getting to the point of affording one and I'm completely taken with it. This is by far the best video review of the car I have seen to date. This guy isn't gimmicky and really gives a straightforward, honest review of the car. I especially like that he touched on the stereo and actually went through some of the functions of the GPS unit, that was great. Nice job, Mr. Cullen! Oh, forgot.....nice job, EH! :-)
Question: the Ecoboost comes with 19's or 20's right? What do you do about winter driving with such wide tires? How does it handle in the snow without snows? and how narrow of a snow tire could you get for the Flex? thanks in advance.
I replaced the 20's with the rims you see in the review. I went to 18's with a much narrower footprint. They also have a much taller sidewall to absorb potholes etc. They are 235, 60, R18 and they have to match the 20's over outside diameter so the speedo is accurate. I hope that helps!
hate those rims bro sorry

@psychocycledad The touch screen interface is a premium option. You can get the conventional style.
